I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.
time will tell.
He had a rare, enormous gift of concentration. In art, in general, concentration is a very serious thing. True concentration…when your comprehension is very deep. Very few people can do it. Only great artists.

Hausu (House) (1977)
“She eats unmarried young girls. It is the only time she can wear her wedding gown.”
House is most likely the weirdest horror fantasy comedy movie you will ever see. At least one of them, the kind of film that will make you wonder whether you really just watched it or if possibly you hallucinated or dreamt the entire thing.
To say that this film is like nothing I’ve ever seen before would be an understatement. I had a vague notion of the plot (something with a witch in the Japanese countryside), but even then any synopsis online couldn’t have possibly prepared me for it. It just knocks you out with surrealism in a good way. I haven’t tried LSD personally but I think in terms of a filmic experience ever coming close to that this one seems like a good candidate, the colors and the effects are outrageous.
It really is one of those films that, make you wish you could wipe it from your memory upon the first watch so you can repeat the bewildering experience of it. Though there’s enough going on here, that you should be able to discover something completely new on rewatches. If however, you have no sense of fantasy or imagination, I suggest skipping this one.
