The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning. The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless, and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much color. Often at night there is lightning, but it quivers all alone. There is no thunder, no relieving rain. These are strange and breathless days, the dog days, when people are led to do things they are sure to be sorry for after.

Kitties dont relly have Breeds like doggies do but they have special types like Weird Baby, Angry Head, Sleeper Fatty, Yappy Meower, Orange, Sweetie Playful, and The Creep. If you collect them all, well. You will probably have too many kitties.

jen and lo's meetcute is incredible he attacks her carriage only steals her comb and she just gets so mad about this that she kills several guys and then chases him down on horseback while very literally throwing sticks and rocks at him. and then she almost dies from dehydratation because she simply refuses to stop following him around and he saves her and her reaction is to bite him and beat him unconscious with a large rock. and they fall in love. at one point she tackles him to the ground and then gets up and then just repeatedly kicks him while he's down while yelling GIVE ME BACK MY COMB. then they have sex in a desert cave mid-fight. incredible stuff.
