Things get so crazy and u lose urself for a little bit then u get a night to wind down w a book before bed and u realize the 14 yr old girl who used to spend all her time at her school library tucked in her favorite corner reading her favorite books never left
focus on the likes and not the wants
you may not want to clean your room, but you like the peace and call it brings you after
you may not want to study, but you like the confidence and satisfaction you get from being prepared
you may not not want to apologise, but you like the relief and connection that reconciliation brings
you may not want to cook, but you like the satisfaction of eating a healthy come cooked meal prepared with love
you may not want to exercise, but you like how you feel afterwards and how it makes you confident
you may not want to journal or write, but you like the reflection and calm it brings you
you may not want to step out of your comfort zone, but you like the new experiences and growth you gain from it

February goals:
To be in the present
Take one day at a time
Remember baby steps still go a long way
Read a little everyday if it’s possible
Write a little everyday if it is possible
Go on walks and listen to the birds singing
Work out to help with my health whenever it’s possible without pushing myself too hard
Laugh with friends and reach out more
Sleep a little better
Find joy in the small things
Give love in my own soft and vulnerable way and hope it will come back to me
And remain hopeful and not let the harshness of the world make me believe this place is lost
Cope with grief and loss
Never let despair win and crush my hopefulness, it’s not the end yet

suddenly i don't want anyone to know me as deeply anymore, which is weird because i have always yearned for someone to understand my soul.

when people ask me what i love about lotr i can't quite explain it in a normal way. its not the wizards and the dragons and the wilderness. its not the frightening thrill of moria, or the glory of helms deep. its not the ethereal magic of the elves or the pride of the growing civilizations of men. in fact out of every fantasy setting it is to me the most innocuous, the most irrelevant because what i love about lotr is the love. its the humanity. the hope. it is about goodness and fellowship. it is a manual on how to live right, with your friends by your side and your songs in your ears and a constant reminder that the best thing about going anywhere is coming home
