do u vibe at all with the sidgeno ship? I saw one of ur crosby edits and it was really cute! imo sidgeno also has that #soulmates flavour that mcdrai does tbh

hiii thank you so much! so i have read sidgeno in the past and enjoyed it but id be lying if i said i cared for it as much as mcdrai. to be fair i think part of it might be that i was reading the highest rated fics, which are all from 10 years ago, and in general i don’t care for fics from that era much.

i’d actually love to hear how others feel about this but i feel like fics have changed a lot in terms of genre. i feel like good fics nowadays are more raw and messy and explore the ugly side of people more. like for mcdrai my favourite dynamic is when they are unhealthily codependent to the point of being unpleasant to other people. i love it when they are mean and selfish and all they want is to possess one another… so good…

so yeah it’s possible sidgeno could spark my love but alas… alas….

olha girly és graphic designer podes-me dizer o que achas do tom de vermelho da bandeira porque eu acho-o uma autêntica abominação aquela saturação não tem lógica nenhuma com a saturação do verde um tom ou mais escuro ou menos saturado seria muito mais bonito. okay eu sinto que os meus big feelings em relação a este tópico incrivelmente irrelevante te podem fazer concordar comigo só para me fazer feliz portanto sê 100% honesta comigo 😭😭

ahahah olá, não sei se a minha opinião pode ser considerada a de uma expert mas posso partilhar que concordo contigo! no geral acho que as duas cores da bandeira são demasiado saturadas, o vermelho especialmente. acho que uma cor mais escura, perto de maroon (sorry não me lembro do nome em pt lol) seria melhor. tipo este tom que a primark usou nas t-shirts, que eles próprios chamam de maroon na descrição

IT’S DONE! that was such a tough race. i was under trained, a bit ill and with a manky knee but the power of ibuprofen, friendship and the constant thought of What Would Connor McDavid do carried me through a painful 21.1k

thank you so much to everyone who commissioned me and who showed interest in my running journey. i did this for an amazing cause in memory of my love grandparents, all the support meant so much to me and i’m so happy to have done this race.

i confess when it comes to connor/leon i mostly can't stand reading them with other people LOL like to me they are #soulmates so anything else is just a prelude to the real meat on the bone. i think that's part of the reason why i liked writing as we fall. for me that's how all these other ships should go. real one track mind situation

second, i would love to write for another ship but unfortunately i just don't care about anything else even halfway as much. like TRUST ME i would... if i could... and to be honest i am very open to hearing about other ships/fic recs and what not but nothing has captured me the same way... if you have anything in mind do share though. maybe i can be healed...

The box arrives on a rainy Tuesday morning. Leon is not at home, and by the time he gets back, the box is already waiting for him with a cheery note attached. WHILE YOU WERE GONE, ROBO DELIVERS! There was a pathetic attempt to hide it behind a houseplant, but most of it is in sight. Go figure, a box large enough to fit a human being is too big to hide behind a dying fern.

ohh this is a good one, thank you! so, i can't share any actual files right now because i actually do all my edits on my (very powerful) work laptop, which i left behind in the office, but i'll share the general gist

one thing i do, which i noticed when watching your recordings is something you don't do that i found surprising, is i have a folder titled overlays that i copy/paste into all my new edits, and inside i have 8 or so different textures that i turn on and off depending on the vibe. occasionally i will add or swap things and if you look at me edits through time i think you can track those changes, but overall it's fairly consistent. i think i've gotten into a good groove with what i like and don't like

i usually have something like white speckle dust, halftone pattern (which i can swap with others because it's not a normal layer but an actual pattern i saved), 1-2 paper textures, noise layer, white plastic texture (similar to paper, but works better on dark) and a warm gradient map set to soft light.

ALSO, another thing i do that might be unusual is that i achieve my half-tone effect through a combination of the threshold layer + noise layer. i don't alwayssss do this because when i only want some elements to be edited it's easier to use filters on the specific layers, but when i want the text to have a bit of that blurred noise effect, for example, i will do something like the below

it's a bit of a faff masking all the correct elements and working with multiple gradient maps but i like how sharp the end result is
