Breaching her space, Elizabeth felt simultaneously comforted yet very guilty. Even when she was trying to comfort him in some way it was her being comforted. For all the magically power she had awoken to recently, she still in some ways felt absolutely hopeless; unable to carry her own weight. Her eyes couldn't escape his now; her entire self for that matter. Forever would she be entangled in him, that much she was certain.
His little comment on her composure did make her solemnly smile, "You're right, I'm being childish aren't I? I apolog....Ah, sorr...I..." Some habits seemed to be hard to break. Their hearts were so close together and seemed like periods of time had stopped entirely. Silence filled the air but she felt as if her informal ticker was much too loud and obnoxious, giving away her intentions, while his was completely silent; locked away in an abyss.
Could she possess the key into finding out his truths? Perhaps. If she did, would she be playing the role of Pandora? Admittedly an unceasing anxiety lingered, and whispers of her own mind urged her to; to show light to these abiding memories that some may say is best forgotten. Middle ground on these opposing sides seemed like the best option at this point. "Sir Meliodas, you always seemed to be in a rather cheerful mood...but I am uncertain if that is true. You always are so selfless but I...." Her confidence rekindled and re surged through her now that she had words for it to follow, "But I...I want you to talk to me. I cannot fix what has happened but.... you bearing all this grief on your shoulders. No one should have to do that, especially not you..."
As if on cue, tears flooded out from her eyes; light shimmering off her waterfalls despite the darkness of the cellar. Palms slide down to rest on his shoulders, "You deserve all the happiness in the world. That's all I want, your happiness. So, lean on me once a while if you need to. I will always be by your side, even if I disappeared I'm sure I'd return to you so please let me help you for once. Even if it’s just this once that you’d let me!”

“Lady Elizabeth, here you are! I’ve been meaning to speak with you.” The small fairy gave a warm, friendly smile, her little wings fluttering as she came to hover in front of the princess.
“I just wanted to let you know that I think you were incredible back at the maze. Where did you learn such powerful healing spells?” Elaine had many abilities - healing was not one of them, which made Elizabeth’s power even more impressive.
“Oh!”
The silver haired maiden had been thrust into the spotlight. This had been a common occurrence she found with Elaine; what with her reading her heart, but she truly didn't pay too much mind to it. "To be quite honest, I didn't study any spells. I just can do it. It is...hard to explain." Now that she thought about it, the visit with the druids could be considered as training but she failed her test so perhaps not too much. She was quick to dismiss herself, "You are the one who is truly impressive, Lady Elaine. You really carried us through."
;;A certain inescapable sadness Sunlight reflected off the greenery and the wind whistled a merry tune as it bounced off of creations the terrain bore. Days of many broken boundaries had returned; his coldness towards her appeared to have melted away the ice surrounding his furnace of a heart. Yet, there was much amiss.
Darkness had been unleashed onto the world and reeking havoc; somewhere beyond this tranquil scene. Somewhere inside him. That smile of his now felt like a mask of some sort; a foreign material. No matter of convincing would change that perspective. Ignorance that had remained was completely shattered during that trial; how he shattered.
She had never seen him cry before.
Informed observations still proved fruitless; never could she tell what he was thinking or feeling; all was under lock and key. Always lurking under that thick hide she couldn’t get through. Why did he always carry the world on his shoulders? Never did she want to see water trickle from his radiant emerald eyes. It was like her heart broke with his. Like she had witnessed it.
Carefully treading on what she felt was thin ice, she mustered enough courage and determination to discuss it with him; to actually try to give something that he gave to her back to him. Even if his love was always for Liz, that these feelings she had for him would never be reciprocated, she would always want to be by his side. To take care of him.
Every time she looked at him her pigment would turn rosy, “Sir Meliodas…” Twiddling the glass ornament hanging from her ear, finding the courage she just mustered had fled, “I…” No, she could hurt him right? Bringing this up. This inner turmoil had been eating at her. No, she couldn’t turn her back on him; wasn’t he hurting right now? “Ummm…. I….“
How could she bring this up; someone she didn’t know? She could easily say it in a dismissive tone and hurt him more. "My apologies, I just…” She looked down eyes weighed full of sorrow… Maybe Liz would’ve known what to do. God, she was such an idiot…Sometimes she wished that she was here instead. At least Meliodas would be happy and not suffering.
