We're through, have been, yet whenever I see brown mix with a subtle red I think of the eyes that made a full moon unbearable. A full moon, rare, but destined, unlike your eyes looking in my direction. Mahogany is now my favorite wood, for it reminds me of the butterflies that flew around inside me when we locked eyes.

I have a new odd obsession, with that of the color white and tombstones, as they remind me of your perfect smile that buried my heart. Maybe I feel some comfort knowing that my heart was able to be digested by someone who I view so very majestic.

I am aggravated at the sight of passenger seats, as they remind me of when you sat next to me. Our special memory, your feet on the dash, my hands on the wheel, The Front Bottoms playing as I sing along imagining our life to this song, the golden hue the sun generously loaned, and the sweat on my palms when I was your own. I am proud to have gathered these memories for the fuel of my pain, I only remiss that it'll never be the same.
