ColorPaw walks up to the senior warrior with a hesitant step. "You wanna go hunting, AppleFall?" They ask.
Applefall turned to Colorpaw, the younger GraniteClan cat. She left the remembrance gathering area some time ago to go do some other things at the moment, and perhaps find Crabpaw. But if the cat wanted to go hunt, then why the hell not? They could help her out with finding her apprentice around here.
"Fine," she told the younger cat. "This should help me out."
ColorPaw smiles. “Sweet!” They then hide their excitement at hunting with a senior warrior and continue in a mature voice. “I mean…Of course. Where should we hunt?” They say standing a little taller.
Applefall was slightly amused by the younger cat’s sheer enthusiasm for going out to hunt. Although she was as interested to go as Colorpaw, she just didn’t show it as well as he did. The reddish-brown tabby wasn’t too emotive that much, so it was hard for her to show her feelings in general.
"Somewhere near the Stone Tower? Or perhaps near those gray rocks that stick up out of the ground?" she suggested. Prey was bound to be found in some place around here. Hopefully they’d find something at this time of the day.
ColorPaw suddenly felt a chill run down their spine. They didn’t like the stone forest-not one bit. Dead cats? They did not need to be reminded of RowanPaw, nope. “How about the stoneTower? yeah, that’s good.” They says returning to their usual happy demeanor.
Applefall understood the apprentice’s choice. The stone forest didn’t care her one bit, but she had to comply to Colorpaw’s needs. Didn’t want to scare the little kit, you know.
"Okay. I’ll be leading you up to see if we find anything," Applefall told them. "Let we be blessed." The red-brown tabby then began headed for the tower, assuming that Colorpaw would follow her.
ColorPaw does, perking their ears and puffing out their chest. They wanted to empress the Senior Warrior. They would someday soon be a warrior along side them, and they wanted to show it.
Applefall was picking up some scent of mouse around in the stone landmark, and she noticed that Colorpaw was, too. Might as well ask them to see if they were using their apprentice skills to the fullest extent.
"Colorpaw, can you find anything?" she asked them. Mouse could be nice right now, yes. Too bad there was no rabbit - that was Applefall’s favorite.
They laid their ears back and crouched down. “I smell mouse…By I don’t see it yet…If I were a mouse where would I hide?” The last part they mutter to themselves. Colorpaw then slowly edges forward, making sure they are downwind.
Applefall nodded in approval of the apprentice's observations. Good thing they were keeping an eye on their surroundings. She followed the younger cat downwards, to see what he'd do next. Find the mouse, or keep going down? Not like she'd mind either way.
