i dont rlly post my #opinions online but

im honestly glad that some ppl r starting to point out how fucking abhorrent the mischaracterization of MH characters are in the crp fandom is

specifically about the sa/abuser hcs thats been going around,

I’m all for like. exploring and writing about dark/sensitive topics with some sense of mindfulness and general respect towards the topic. but from what ive seen, SA is used so tactlessly within online fandom spaces in general. It’s as if it’s becoming commodified?? and as much as i want there to be more conversation, awareness, and representation for SA and for survivors to be able to safely express themselves, i just feel like ??? its becoming idfk fetishized online??? i dont want people to become desensitized to an experience unfortunately MANY people on this earth go through

i can’t really describe a general like, idk overall situation since ive been seeing this grow over the years and id have to grab very specific screenshots 😬 but its just i feel like people spotlight and even glorify r//apists way too often. i’ve seen SA used to up the edge factor since murder or even abuse doesn’t satisfy them enough for whatever reason.

the crp fandom continues to romanticize or even glorify r//ape and abuse. The only times i’ve ever seen this stuff discussed is within smut fics or relationship hc type posts 😭😭😭

honestly i can only feel bad for the creators and actors of MH to have their characters be labelled as r//apists and abusers, it just paints a horrible light on these characters who arent even bad people to begin with..within the story😭😭😭 tim and brian are literally just guys caught up in a bad situation dude they would never even think to do any of that 😭😭 what fucking universe did you watch marble hornets in man

i have never been someone to want to engage with fandoms or anything like that but i’m realizing its just better if i keep to myself and stay posting my own ocs 😭😭😭 i wish i could be able to engage with fandoms and shit but i’ve only ever had bad or embarassing experiences first or second hand. it’s disappointing, i would love to have more friends interested in the same things i am. but i lowkey feel like i chose the WORST fandom as a starter for engaging with LOL even tho I’ve been into creepypastas and internet horror since i was like 6. i mean i guess i shouldve expected it since crp attracts an insane amount of proshippers lol
