SERIOUSLY, i didn't think many people would be into this event, but i'm having so much fun and so in awe and amazed by the (so far) 2 people who have been sharing their fics and headcanons. i've been a bit behind/offline because i was recovering from an exhaustion induced fever from my trip and i attended a really difficult funeral this week. it really has been a treat and a comfort to see the submissions! to me it already feels like a successful event and when i check tags and replies, people are also being so nice and encouraging on others. i know this fandom has a rep for being toxic, but it's been really sweet so far!

is the film reference for caleb's film Ghost, Casper, or possible Up? i really don't think it's wuthering heights lol i stand by this as a wuthering heights obsessed person who refuses to watch the new film (it looks so bad) and all of the films are supposed to be romance film classics - casablancas (sylus), pride and prejudice (zayne), titanic (rafayel), romeo and juliet (xavier) and i think it's the 1968 italian verson not the iconic baz luhrmann one unfortunately. anyway, my first instinct was Ghost? but i feel like they would've given us the iconic scenes and feel. what is he doing on that balcony??? Ghost makes the most sense to me i think, but i'm curious to know what others think....

ps. i think an all shakespeare/classical plays banner would be so nice and giving caleb a myth that's basically wuthering heights would be SO JUICY!!! it matches his themes so well! but i feel like they want to keep gothic romance for sylus... 😔 and now that we're on the topic of gothic themes, i think rafayel has the most gothic film/lit traits... he would be so good as a phantom of the opera, or a carmilla we need a creature feature banner for me specifically
