idk what I’m doing so have some writing failures

They were a pretty normal family. Well, as normal as you can get when your mother's a witch and your father moved away, but at least they were happy. Chelu spent most days playing outside with the other kids. They even owned a horse, but as far as she could remember, her mother never told her where that horse came from. She just smiled, petted her head and said something like "Your Imagination's always been wild!" At the time, Chelu didn't know what 'imagination' meant. She couldn't even spell such a big word! But she was sure that that must be the horses' name, so she called it 'Ashon'  (because she pronounced 'imagination' like 'imaginashon' back then). Sometimes, when she couldn't sleep at night, she would go outside and play with Ashton. Her mother would be really angry when she found her, but Chelu didn't mind. One night, Ashon asked her to play watch with them, and she agreed happily. She was running and running, trying to catch the fast horse, and at some point she had to stop and catch her breath. When she looked up, she only saw a white shimmer in the distance. Looking around, she finally noticed that she had absolutely no clue where she was. So, she decided to just walk towards the white shimmer.

-- "According to multiple police reports, witnesses saw a 'ghostly white horse' in the streets throughout the city the night before the girl went missing. Some occultist assume that a demon led the child away, claiming that citizens should evacuate immediately. The local police warns 'not to take these warnings seriously', as they are just trying to use this incident as an excuse to shift your attention towards things such as witchcraft and magic, which are 'absurd' and 'unbelievable' in the eye of the police as well as most citizens who we questioned." ---- "The young girl who was reported missing almost a year ago was found alive near the entrance to the village. She seems unharmed, but is unwilling to speak about anything that happened. She does not seem to remember the past year at all. Scientists claim that the girl experienced some sort of trauma, which led to memory loss. Of course, many hope that she regains her memory to tell stories about ghost, demons, or something similarly uncanny, but we are all very happy to know that she is alive and well. We will keep you updated." ------ "At first, she didn't really respond, always seemed lost in thought, but after about a week she was back to her cheerful, happy self! I'm just so happy to have her back!!" The woman on the TV screen looked like she was about to cry. They couldn't tell why the woman would cry, it seemed like good news to them. Why couldn't they understand? Maybe they just weren't supposed to understand. "This is boring. I think it's making you sad. Let's get our mind off of it and find something fun to do!!" "Sure. What did you have in mind, Ashton?" "Let's play tag!"
