an au where Jeremy’s hair changes colour with his mood

When Jeremy’s happy, his hair turns green. It varies from a subduded, light green when he’s in a good mood and an almost blindingly neon green when he’s dying from laughter and can’t catch his breath.

Gavin quickly learned to not bother Jeremy when his hair is red. It took longer to learn that bright red was faux anger, anger to continue pushing a joke or emphasizing a punchline. The real danger is faded colors, a light pink indicated that he just spilt his coffee all over the floor, spectruming into a dark red, almost a magenta, when his computer crashes for the third time that day.

During horror games, his hair is purple. It’s a dark purple when Jeremy is in fearful suspense, quickly bursting into a brilliant violet when he screams from a scare.

Rarely has anyone seen Jeremy with blue hair. It’s no surprise that blue hair represents sadness, but it is a surprise to see Jeremy wave others off, insisting he’s fine, despite the dark blue shade.
