There are not enough Kit Harington Movies to Calm Me
Not 100% sure which entity I am dealing with or supposed to be dealing with right now.Ā Philadelphia outsourced their red light camera program to some place in some other state.Ā It is not run by the Philadelphia police or the city.... at least that is what I gather.Ā Some things say contact the Philadelphia Parking Authority and other do not.Ā
The most important problem I am having is that I paid my ticket even though I should have disputed it.Ā Yes, that sounds bad but I just started a new job and could not take off work for 90 days.Ā I didnāt want to try because I wanted to make a good impression.Ā I went ahead and paid it.Ā I did attempt to dispute the ticket online but every time I went to enter my ticket number, the message told me the ticket did not exist in the system.Ā Fast forward: my check was cashed and now I received notice of a late fee for $20.Ā That would be $120 totals for this violation.Ā My first violation for anything ever.Ā The late notice was sent to me in the mail.Ā I did not see it until I got home from work at 6:30pm.Ā I tried to call every number I could between the parking authority and their outsourced āservice.āĀ Everything is automated.Ā All offices are closed.Ā All phone numbers and weblinks lead to methods for payment and no methods for dispute.Ā The late fee letter says my car will be booted or towed unless I paid IMMEDIATELY.Ā I went ahead and paid it anyway.Ā I did not want to run the risk of having my car towed while I was at work.Ā I know the district where I work has a more active police presence than in some other districts.Ā I attempted to contact my district councilperson for help.Ā The office is close and I am waiting for a response for my message.Ā I am expecting an intern.Ā
It seems know one knows what is going on or who to contact.Ā I asked an off duty police office who I should contact and he did not know.Ā His response is that it is not run by the police anymore and to pay the ticket and dispute it later.Ā Besides the fact that if I pay I am exponentially more like to not be able to dispute the charge, I am not confidant that if I do some how manage to speak with a human about this they will actually know what is going on or what is supposed to happen here.
