I know what it’s like to be disillusioned by your parents. But I’m a pretty good judge of character, and you are not like your mother. She is cold and dangerous, and you are too good and too smart to follow in her path. Be your own hero.

“I was a strange child. I was the kid with funny hair listening to dodgy music […] I’d come in with my hoodie and skate-shoes, with purple hair under the hood. I got away with it because I spent all my time in the art room, so they figured I was ‘artistic’. I was that kind of kid, listening to Green Day and the Deftones and all that kind of thing.”

“I wear a lot of black, knitwear, skinny jeans and very high heals. My mum used to work for a fashion designer making knitwear, so she knits me lots of chunky scarves, hats and gloves, which I love.” - Katie McGrath.

There are some dodgy photos of me with goth hair and make-up that I hope neve surface. When I was 17, I worked in a piercing/tattoo studio and had my name, which means ‘purity’ in Greek, tattooed on my back. I forget about it until I’m in the shower, when I’m like, ‘What?'
