summary: your child asks for a baby brother, you and daniel tell him your surprise!

a/n: yeah so for this imagine your son’s name is hudson wooohoooooo; also your child is rly smart ig... i made him talk like an adult sry not sry :/

when you married daniel you knew your family life was going to be harder than others, considering that daniel was in a band. you were incredibly proud of him and how he has come so far, but also sad that he couldn’t be home as often as you would have liked. when you found out that you were pregnant with your first child you both were ecstatic! he tried to be home as often as possible, but the schedule made it rough.

sometimes you would catch your son, hudson, crying in his room because he was lonely and needed someone to play with when daniel was gone.

hudson is only one and a half and you were pregnant yet again. you haven’t told daniel yet, but he had a little feeling inside that you were carrying another child due to the sickness you were experiencing.

you had just put hudson down for his afternoon nap and came downstairs to find your husband on the couch messing around with his guitar. you smiled and sat next to him. “hey baby,” daniel greeted you. “hey sweetie,” you replied. “i have something to tell you...” you continued.

by now you had daniels full attention. you couldn’t contain you happiness as you shared the news with your husband. “really?! i knew it!! wow, i’m so... wow i don’t even know what to say!!!” he exclaimed and gave you the biggest hug. daniel pulled you into his chest and kissed you on your forehead. “i love you,” he cooed. “i love you moreeee” you replied with a smile.

suddenly you both heard hudson cry. “i’ll get him!” daniel practically yelled and hopped off the couch. you laughed and shook your head, not knowing what to do with your childish husband.

daniel appeared with hudson in his arms as they walked downstairs. he reached out to you and you brought him into your lap. “mommy, can i tell you something?” he asked; “of course baby,”. “can you and daddy buy me a baby brother?” he questioned. daniel let out a little laugh, “huddy you can’t buy a baby!”. “but i need someone to play with... i like playing with you, but you aren’t always here...” he carried on. “well, mommy and daddy have something to tell you, it’s a very big surprise!” he told hud. “i love surprises!!” hudson said in his little baby voice while showing a big smile.

“mommy is going to have a baby!” daniel shared. “am i going to have a baby brother?” hudson asked, very hopeful that is was a boy. “maybe, you could get a baby brother or a baby sister,” you told him. “can i name him?” hudson asked. “well sure, what are you thinking?” daniel questioned. “my favorite stuffy is named hayden, can we name him hayden?” hudson asked.

“i love that huddy!” you told him. hudson cheered and jumped up and down on the couch with the biggest smile ever.

this moment that you shared with your family was more than you could ever ask for. you were in complete bliss.

another little seavey baby, and you couldn’t be more thankful for another baby.
