Dewdrops and raindrops Falling insistently On the edge of a void It's not just me
We'll take a step away Feel the sunlight for another day And another Together
my love for you will always be like a forest
unending growing rooted.
be the kiss on my forehead that no one sees, the fingers that brush my palm in the quiet moments, and the breath on my neck as we embrace,
be in this stillness with me
once again i am struck with awe by just how blue your eyes are, on rainy autumn mornings, blue enough to capture a soul
i have written some poems in which i have overshared some in which i haven't shared much at all
while some just stay hidden in this heart of mine, quiet
that fade, sometimes shrivel wither shrink
and are rediscovered when there is too much emotion to handle

and when i was young, i did not have the courage to let out this earnest, beastly heart, one that loves with chaos, so spirited like the sun
teach me what it's like to plant my roots in one place,
teach me to endure the rainstorms, the hot suns and face the harshness of the elements
my lips parted to say something, and then the thunder rumbled in the sky above me
because God knows i am all raging storms and night filled
i wait for you like the flower buds for the spring, with soft and emerging expectation. i peer at you from the everglow, restlessly. when can i dance in your morning sun again? when can i sing of love once more?
one day this skin will leave an impression of moonlight
you see, this body is bursting with courage; wildflowers sprout from my heart and lungs, bringing me a breath,
a reminder that beauty can bloom even from the parts of me i wanted to keep hidden, sort of like a relief or a desire to call myself home
listen closely, my melody still echoes now beneath the forest floor and dances between the morning mist,
darling, feel my heartbeat in the gaps between raindrops, as you explore my unending reach within the stillness of the willows
you likened my thoughts to the tempo of a tango, capable of moving heaven beneath my feet, and delicately radiating a timeless existence, all in the same beat
the silky feeling of moonlight on skin, i question those who say you can't hold the moon in your hand.
it is a true autumn day
as my heart dreams
the leaves change
and we love gently
i am a variety of things,
some are strong like iron and
some
like the softness of silk,
but in the middle
i am
maybe
a breath of mountain air
gentle patio rain
the amber morning light
it looks like something of a story
