Some bits of my look book came out a little blurry which was a upsetting after all the time I spent on it and money also, it was too late to get it reprinted also. Here are a few screen shots of layout and also zoomed in screen shots of the pages. I loved art directing and styling the shoot, I think everything worked well and the models were great also. Chris Bergin was my photographer and also edited them, when looking at everything next to each other some of the colours are off and I am not too happy with that so I am going to change this for the exhibition. If I had the chance to do this again in work or at uni I would jump at it and I enjoyed doing the layout also.
Starting my portfolio booklet in Hannah's safe hands! Got to be ready for Friday so need to pop some pictures in and some text also.

#NMP.... In a nutshell
I made a net - woohooo. This net is for my nail decals, simple packaging running throughout my whole gift bag. They look really effective, I think I may need to put on the front what they are as it's a little unclear what they are and not everyone knows what decals are. Must do this tomorrow before I print...
Just made a net for my nail decal packaging... Now to put some patterns and my branding on it.
Taking inspiration from my bracelets and also the nail polish packaging, clean, simple but the fruit ties everything in together. I think I might move the logo and have it on the back of the packaging with the ingredients as I think it looks a little out of place and its mixing too many fonts on on thing. apart from that really pleased with how I have got on this morning and I just need to keep going...
Bracelet development! These will be in the gift bag given before the event, I think these need some clasps on so girls can wear them before and after the event - more of a fashion accessorie than a throw away thing. Girls who have been/going to the event will be able to recognise different cocktail groups. I now need to roll these out to the rest of my gift bag products. I also need to check that these aren't going off design as they are a little different to the other things I have produced but I have made sure that I am using same colour ways and fruits.
Worked on a couple shoe cleaner labels last night, this would be for the mai tai as it contains orange. The shoe cleaner would be orange liquid - but this isn't the important part. As I said in my previous post I have grown fond of my repeat pattern but the text isn't easily read and I much prefer the white label and the orange one, this being as they are cleaner and easier to read. I have used the cocktail glasses in my look book so they tie in nicely with this.
Went to Tescos and was looking for a bottle to hold my 'shoe cleaner', there wasn't anything that caught my eye except this Orangena bottle, the shape is lovely and in my eyes resembles a bar glass/cocktail pourer.
In my head I have a few ideas what I want to go on, it needs to be simple and fun though. Repeat fruit pattern is on quite a lot of my work so not too sure if I want to follow this through but I have a few more designs I need to try out and call it later on tomorrow.
These are more what I was thinking of, simple vector drawings are the way forward. Going to apply these to my look book on the cocktail pages and see how they look. Pretty pleased with how its all going but I need to get these last tweaks on then start to print, check sizing of images and text too.
