If you’re a fan of Supernatural, or a fan of the first season of Sleepy Hollow, you should check out the fantastic show on Fox called The Exorcist

Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT a reboot of William Peter Blatty’s 1973 classic. It’s a show in the middle of its second season that holds its own as one of the best horror shows that’s come around in years. 

If you like:

a show with canon LGBT+ and POC characters 

said leads are treated right and NOT killed off for shock value

masterfully done horror and suspense storytelling 

great characterization

open LGBT+ relationships

a respect for the theology and source material it comes from

powerful social and religious commentary

the horror effects are fantastic

This is absolutely the show for you. 

In conclusion, please watch this fantastic show because if Fox cancels it I will legitimately cry
