Melemele Morning | Open
Wallace gripped the rail of the ship, eyes feasting on the view. After several nights at sea, the trip’s final morning broke; fog descended back into the azure waves, revealing four islands in the distance. Wallace’s partner must have seen the shadowed, distant shapes of landmass at the same moment, for as a grin split the Sootopolitan’s face, guests nearby shrieked: a massive, forceful jet sprayed the deck as Milotic leapt out of the water. Wallace’s turquoise head was thrown back in a laugh-- before seeing the frowning faces of sodden tourists. “Alas! It would seem our urgency for the destination has rather dampened all of your journeys,” he tutted in self-reproach. In a few quick and graceful movements, almost dancing, Wallace rose to balance on the very edge of the ship bow. “Our deepest apologies; Milotic and I are too impatient. We’ll just have to meet you there!”
A silver-blue eye glinted under the tip of his white cap, and Wallace leapt on the back of Milotic as it made an arc across the ship. There were screams and clatter, for surely the boat would tear both the trainer and Pokémon apart! And yet, impossibly, someone shouted “ LOOK ! ” and pointed at the pair far ahead, between the boat and the shore. Milotic’s scales sparkled marvelously, jetting straight for Hau’oli Beachfront... and an unmistakable CAPE fluttered in the sea-spray.
