A gentle reminder for the chronically ill (mentally and physically) fish keepers. Water chances don’t need to be large to be helpful. I just used a 3 gallon bucket to scoop the water out of the 55 gallon tank. I did 4 scoops, that’s a 12 gallon water change, that’s 22% of my 55 gallon, without stress or hurting my self in under 20 min. On days when I am bad I’ll do 2 buckets a day, that’s 6 gallons, that’s a 11% water change. Doing this daily or ever other day keeps the tanks levels stable and helps the health of the fish.
If you can’t lift 3 gallons, use a 1 gallon. The point is little things help enormously when it comes to the health of our pets.
