The goldies spawned this morning!!
I’m not too sure how successful the spawn was/will be but I’m already seeing tiny black spots in the eggs and I have removed the obviously unfertilized eggs and made them a makeshift breeder box. There seems to be sand stuck to almost all of the eggs since they weren’t laid on a spawning mop (we weren’t anticipating breeding) and I’m not sure how that will affect their success. Overall there are about 150 eggs.
The potential fry will be the offspring of dante as shes our only female, and potentially all of the other males. However, we think that the fathers are mostly lia and paisley since they were displaying breeding behavior the past few days.
(Also there are some air bubbles on the bottom of the box that look like big unfertilized eggs if you were curious about that) Edit: none of the eggs hatched :(
