It appears that I'll be laying low for a few days. Adon's guardian was kind enough to let me stay with them, and for the most part things have been...Pretty good, in all honesty. I doubt this will last for more than a few days - or however long it takes Celeste to calm down and get over whatever hormones are altering her behavior - but I really can't complain.

...And the beds here are far nicer than the ones at home. I could almost get used to this.

…Well, that’s the last time I bring anyone else over to Adon’s guardian’s house. That was a total catastrophe - from what I’ve been told, at least. I can’t remember much of what happened myself.

I’m hoping none of this will come back to haunt me. It probably won’t, but still…

And it just occurred to me now - a day late - that I forgot to do anything for Adon's birthday. I didn't get him a present or a card...I didn't even acknowledge it. I know that it's a relatively small thing to worry about, but I feel shitty for it. He's ignored enough as it is at home with his idiot of a brother taking up all the attention, and the fact that his own mentor couldn't even acknowledge his goddamn birthday...

...Ugh, I don't deserve that kid. I don't know why he stays.

So, things have been sort of...Odd as of late. As the lessons with Adon have continued, we decided that his guardian's estate would be the most convenient place for us to do his training. It's a nice enough place, and his guardian - Vyers, I believe the name was - is a decent man, but...I can't help feeling a little strange around him.

He's been cornering me after lessons, wanting me to stay and chat with him. I suppose he's just a lonely man, particularly considering that he's a widower and his only company is a young boy, but I can't for the life of me get used to how touchy he is. Maybe it's just some old world tradition of his that he still hasn't let go of. Either way, I'm not sure how to feel about a man who considers kissing you on both cheeks a proper greeting. He's...Hard to explain.
