Are you ok?
It’s really been a while, haha. Didn’t even remember my password. But yeah, thanks for asking, things are alright on this end. Haven’t really made anything worth posting though unfortunately.

Hi, one of my friends just got into Cherik in a big way and is looking for fanfic, and I remembered that you once had a really nice rec list (way back in 2013, haha), but I'm having trouble locating it. Do you still have it kicking around? ~ A lurking MorriganFearn
Yo, long time no see. Sorry about the late reply, I forgot to check messages. As for the Cherik rec list, did you mean my old fic recs illustrated tag? That’s the only thing that comes to mind atm.
One fic that I never managed to illustrate is actually my personal favourite All Along the Watchtower along with its sequel Education. It’s a really fun minor AT/fixit fic with snappy writing and dialogue. Another favourite is Wisteria which is more introspective iirc.
Hey followers and XMFC fans, it’s been years since I’ve been in the fandom, any recs since Days of Future Past was screened?
Full image of my submission to the Touken Ranboo zine! The details took a while, but it was worth it.
Also available at my redbubble store.
Sowed these back in April because I’d never seen morning glories in real life before despite having drawn them in the past. They sure took their time to bloom, haha. Maybe moonflowers next year?
Preview of my submission for the Touken Ranboo zine. Great excuse to draw hyakki yagyou themed art.
Remember to chant the magic spell, or they might spirit you away.
Some cranes.
Izumi Kyouka's The Saint of Mt. Kouya/Holy Man of Mt. Kouya aka the happy boss rush map. A flashy book for a flashy(?) story with lush descriptions about a travelling monk running into all sorts of strange things. Due to its length, regular double-sided signatures were used, and since Izumi's said to be a very Japanese writer, I went with retchoso or tetsuyousou binding which is believed to have no Chinese counterpart. Apparently some binders use four needles at once for this method @_@. Couldn't figure out how to get a nice tight binding, but it's still very sturdy. Maybe the signatures need to be pressed for longer? The book lies open completely flat, so I reused the margin settings from Tokuda's.

Next up should be Miyazawa Kenji's Night on the Galactic Railway. Sorry Kyouka, but I couldn't find anything of Kouyou-sensei that's suitable.
Been playing Bungou to Alchemist lately, so what better excuse to pick up bookbinding? The text is Tokuda Shuusei’s Order of the White Paulownia, a short story about a woman dealing with an imperfect marriage. Its shortness and plain writing style made it a good beginner’s project imo. The book was bound fukurotoji style with the spreads folded and the loose ends sewn, so the pages had to have the outer margin and gutter reversed.
Next up, maybe fellow Kanazawa writer Izumi Kyouka’s Saint of Mt. Kouya?
Sunsets today.
Purples and blues for TKRB60min to match the cold weather. Where is spring?
Tea break.
More Mono.
Might need to ask Kikkou for stronger restraints.
My Saniwa Summit contributor’s zine came in the mail!
My last two #tkrb60minutes entries ended up becoming ‘Respect for the Aged Day’...
Submission #2 for the Saniwa Summit cafe zine, with obligatory Taisho era setting. Hope Ugu’s open to trying this newfangled thing called ‘ko-hi-’.
Submission #1 to the Saniwa Summit cafe anthology zine. Should the characters be tagged?
