i had a surge of energy on monday and managed to write 90% of the theory for my thesis, which is part I (i believe the weather has something to do with it). the second part requires i go to the lab in august to finish up on some experiments and hopefully graduate in september :')

also, enjoy photos of Pula taken by my partner, who urged me to post them ("you can post them on your blog for productivity right?!!!") <3

The beginnings of summer! Spending mornings at my desk and reading outside in the afternoon is an ideal weekend. I’m in a wonderful routine with writing and reading right now and just trying to keep them up!

A beautiful long weekend to…stay inside and study for the lsat

I love spring, I'm graduating in a month and idk what I'm gonna do, I wasn't able to get into grad school. I'm trying to decide if I want to still try for it next year, I do love research but I need more experience and everything is so competitive in astrophysics 🥲 I'm gonna talk to my research advisor to hopefully get ideas, it's just there's not really entry level positions for a bachelors in physics that's relevant to research,,

10.05.21 | It’s been pretty gloomy lately, which I think has contributed to my recent spike in productivity. I just haven’t been in the right headspace for a while now & something about the cozy weather calms me. It gives me a reason to stay at home during a time when I feel the need to go out in order to change my scenery & keep the boredom at bay. Plus, my anxiety when going out hasn’t really improved yet, which doesn’t help when I’m trying to focus on doing work. 

The last time my city went into lockdown was in August & it lasted for the whole month. I discussed this with my sister the other day, about how prior to the lockdown when establishments were open & strict restrictions were lifted, everyone had been so desperate to go out again. Yet when things began to go back to “normal,” we were all reminded collectively of how busy the city can actually be, & we eventually realized that the abrupt change in pace overwhelmed us, which soon became exhausting. So come August, when the local government re-implemented the lockdown, everyone almost seemed relieved.

More fluid mechanics at my favorite coffee shop, but this time outside! Weather has been lovely, and productivity has been high.

Slightly worried about moving houses during finals week, but I’ll figure it out.
