This is not the kind of message I wanted to do, especially so early in the game and I am not lying when I say that right now I’m crying about what I have to say to you all right now.
Arcadia was the first roleplay that I’ve opened completely from scratch and it’s had it’s ups and down. When both Molly and I decided that we would step down as admins to pursue other projects it broke my heart, especially as since then it’s reputation took a beating.
Last month we decided to revive Arcadia once more, and to bring the roleplay back to its former glory and I’m honestly proud of the world we created here. I feel that it needed to happen to make up for its sudden departure last time, and for the fact that we didn’t want Arcadia to have a bad legacy left behind.
As you’ve seen, activity isn’t up to scratch and whilst its a busy time of year its also not something that can allow a roleplay to sustain. And as much as it has honestly broken us to do so, Molly and I have made the difficult decision to close Arcadia Resort’s doors for good.
I need a break from admin life to focus on me, my studies and to reignite my passion for writing again and I want to thank firstly the previous members (and co admins) who supported our decision to reopen the group and returned to us. You’ve been nothing but amazing, I value your friendship more then anything and I will never regret this place or this RP because it lead me back to familiar faces and some amazing new ones. Thank you for sticking around, and I hope we can write together again in the future.
Then finally, my salty little clinger Molly. I ADORE you my smutty little smol, and I’ve had the blessing of watching you return to the RP community and picking my group to do it with, you’ve been a rock through my RL and RP lives and I honestly don’t know where I, or Arcadia would be without you. This isn’t the end for us as you know, and I only hope that we meet face to face one day so we can be awkward as fuck together.
You guys may continue to RP on the dash if you wish, and in the universe, however I do ask that none of Arcadia’s original content (locations, plot, graphics) are taken to another group. They are the intellectual property of both Molly and myself, and I’d thank you to respect that.
