long awaited update,

well. i’m a junior now.

these past few months i walked away from social media, which gave me a chance to really enjoy life. I don’t think much has changed really, besides the fact that i missed tumblr and that life is boring as usual.

but let’s recap,

after garam joined i2iC she was welcomed with open arms. which led amanda to start getting annoyed by the attention garam was getting. amanda is pretty popular at school, so she told me she thought of it as ’competition’.

i was shocked.

i can’t be friends with someone like that.

so i stopped talking to her.

well, this led to Margaret not talking to me anymore either. she told me that ‘real friends don’t leave their first friends behind’

which made absolutely no sense to me since amanda was just making unnecessary drama.

no longer am i talking to amanda nor margaret, and i’m still hurt by it.

it’s been months since we last talked, and we planned on going to downtown nyc over the summer but that was quickly put in the trash. Tyler didn’t get involved at all and stayed friends with all of us, he really was understanding of each persons side.

but garam,

she blamed herself.

of course it isn’t her fault! she didn’t do anything wrong.

she was oddly quiet for a good month or so, before opening back up and talking.

now i2iC has Me, Tyler, Garam, and two new people.

Jaclyn and Ed

Jaclyn is from the southern state of Kentucky. She told us about what it’s like there and how big it can be, and how badly the roads are.

Ed was born in NYC as well, but he lived in a poorer area. He said that his dad was offered a job offering and it helped their family greatly.

jaclyn and Ed aren’t the same as Amanda and Margaret, but it’s a new beginning.

Ian decided he wanted to move out. That didn’t last long because one month later and he’s back home. we kinda knew he was going to come back, but we acted surprised.

Amara is starting fourth grade tomorrow (our schools don’t start at the same time) and she’s so excited!

she looked adorable with her pigtails (we were trying styles for the new school year)

she kinda looked like a mini me when i was in elementary school….

mom cried looking at her cause she thought she was so cute. grandma and grandpa thought she looked stunning.

it was a bit over dramatic but anything to feed her ego ig

anyways, i was given algebra homework on the FIRST DAY

seriously?? its already a bore to go there and then they hand out homework the first day. not fun.

high school is terrible already, and i can’t wait to become a senior so i can graduate.

if only i knew what i wanted to be…

FINALLY

school is done and over with.

last friday was my last day and ive never felt more relaxed.

well well...its been a while.

okay so I may or may not have broken my phone and had to buy a totally new one.

yes, it’s been forever! but really you didnt miss much! Margaret and her team won the bask tournament! Amanda is back at school after having to be gone for a concussion. She’s much better now!

Colton still is acting like a toddler, but are we surprised?

oh and the best part- GARAM IS IN I2IC!!!!!

we were able to get Miss Lindsey to allow Garam into i2iC and it’s been fun. More people have joined just because of Garam, which... is weird. Because there’s people with straight A’s that understand everything, but still show up so that Garam can teach them.

Garam likes to pretend she doesn’t know english though, and some of the kids are a little slow so they don’t catch on.

is i2iC funded by the school? sadly we have no support for the school :/ it’s student made and they really have no care in it.

also i’m so slow with posting sorry !!! i2iC has been super busy since Garam is in now more kids have been joining. leaving me no time to rest. i’ve had to stay after school lately.

which did lead to Ian and I trying to fight but instead i was so tired i just ignored him and went to sleep lol

Recently i had the honor to move to America as a foreign exchange student - immediately i fit in.

My family always wanted me to study, and since my dad has to travel to America sometimes for work, i picked up on some of English language and began working.

Now im fluent ~ but with an accent? i’m not sure how i thought i sounded good but - guess not.

I don’t know how Faye does blogging so well - but I guess i’ll just do this to tell about my life in America as a foreign exchange student!

What is Consent?

To most, it seems straightforward.

You often hear the slogan, “No means no.” You may have even heard “only yes means yes”. But that’s not the whole picture.

Here’s a handy consent checklist:

Is this a “yes”? Is it freely given?

 Freely given means that they haven’t been pressured, threatened or guilted into saying yes. For example, this means that if you’re their boss, they’re not saying yes just to keep their job. It also means that they aren’t just saying yes to make you stop harassing them. Note that silence is not consent!

Are they capable of consent?

Consent cannot be given when someone is incapacitated. This means, if they are passed out or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they cannot consent. Keep in mind that children are never capable!

Do you have consent for the specific thing you’re about to do?

Consent must be given for each action. Just because you receive consent to kiss someone, doesn’t mean you have consent to grope them.

Do you have their consent this time?

Just because they’ve consented to this before doesn’t automatically mean it’s okay this time. Being in a relationship with someone doesn’t automatically mean you have consent!

Do you still have their consent?

If someone changes their mind, you need to stop immediately.

Sometimes people decide that they want to use different standards of consent. This is especially common for people in relationships.  Sometimes they’ll decide that they don’t need to say yes every time. This is okay as long as these things are established and agreed upon beforehand between all parties involved. The same rules about consent apply to making these new agreements, too. Someone who is too drunk or tired to consent is too drunk or tired to negotiate an alternative consent agreement. It’s not okay to pressure someone into agreeing. And if they change their mind, the agreement stops.

ah okay, so i’m pretty sure i haven’t posted in two days. i’m aware.

BUT

its been so fun with Garam!! shes actually so fun to be around and talk to, she recently showed us this app called Zepeteo. Colton and I have heard it before but we both stated we didn’t show much interest.

but she BEGGED we download it. so we did!

Margaret, Colton, And I all have our own characters.

colton didn’t send us a ss of his, but just know he has a moustache but irl his skin looks like a baby’s.

besides that, Amanda has been M.I.A. still. We’ve decided to not bombard her. My mom called me telling me she’s in the hospital for a concussion, and...something else. mom won’t tell me but it’s not something good. i hope she’s okay...

Also! School - tomorrow. I’m going to try and check with Miss Lindsey to see if we can get Garam into our study group. hopefully she’ll say yes, but if she doesn’t we can just put Garam into one of our big study groups.

Garam and i have grown close! it’s only been a few days but i really feel like we’re blossoming a new friendship. (Garam hopefully won’t read that - tis a bit cheesy)

Ian and I haven’t spoken all weekend. normally we hang out with my grandparents and Amara. but the tension in the house has been huge so we were just locked in our rooms all weekend. which was fine, because it gave me time to relish into the sweet scent of my new body wash.

Its a body wash set that reminds me of the ocean - wow does it smell good.

pfft it’s raining now :( the rain makes it muddy, i don’t want to walk to the car in mud.

i’m at school currently but on break, Colton is trying to fit, as many as he can, cherry tamatoes in his mouth. currently on tomatoe 23, he’s violently coughing so I don’t think he’ll be able to fit any more haha

i was TIREDDDD so i couldn’t blog yesterday cause i went to sleep immediately!! but...something crazy happened yesterday. which is why Amanda isn’t at school today ;

so here’s the story,, Amanda was going to give me a hoodie because of the snow the heater wasn’t working properly. so the school was COLDDD !!!! and she offered to give me her extra hoodie... well all of a sudden she passed out on the floor. it was so sudden i didn’t know what to do, but there was already groups of people in that specific area so they started to crowd around her. I was propping her head up cause she must have a concussion because of falling on the hard floor. A teacher saw the group and took Amanda to the nurse. She hasn’t responded to any of our messages, but it was out of nowhere :( i really hope she’s okay, i still have her hoodie,, i should’ve given it back but-

i was thinking abt adding her to the gc but i don’t know her that well yet and i dont want to scare her off. i’ll show my recent text with her though!

she’s so funny, she honestly was fun to hang around with. she got comfortable with me immediately which was great, she’s in three classes with me so we can hang out for a majority of the day.

Mr. Grindstones class is always super fun, and we get 20 minute breaks (he’s such a cool teacher) so we can definitely get to know eahcother more then!

im actually getting excited for school tomorro, Garam seemed cool :))

Im really hoping Amanda’s okay... she hasn’t messaged us in a bit. She was excited about the foreign exchange student as much as i was, and i was sad she wasn’t at school to see her. idk how long she’ll be out... hopefully not too long.

other than that, tonight i had a beautiful roast with some green tea to wash it down. tasted *chefs kiss* !

Ian hasn’t been home for a bit, my grandparents were getting angry about it.. was kind of funny ’cause they called my mom and everything and she was just like, “why are you now calling me about this, he’s done this plenty of times just track his phone.”

my poor grandparents don’t know how technology works mom. :(((

im staying up, i normally don’t but i can’t seem to fall asleep tonight :// it’s 3:47am, Ian came home two hours ago. he‘s definitely going to be in trouble tomorrow:(( hopefully it’s not too bad, he stays out till 10 pm, but my grandparents were getting worried when he wasnt home, idk where he was but glad to see he isn’t dead in a ditch.

i was also thinking about if Garam has a Tumblr? or atleast is up for one...? idk maybe...
