Hollow Knight OC Lore Art - Rahm
“No cost too great.” - The Pale King
A lore drawing of vessel OC Rahm when they were smaller, surviving the fall from the Abyss. Kind of experimental with a pencil set but I am very happy with how this turned out. A bit of context, Rahm nearly lost their arm during the fall and severely cracked their mask to where it can’t be repaired, Void spilling out with no end.
rex always funny
HIS REF IS DONE MUAHAHA
It's a shame that the long time Fett didn't reprise his role in 'The Mandalorian' season 3.
Oh this is evil.
Awful. Just, awful.
Creature concept: Devil rays.
In the manta ray family, there is a species of ray called devil rays and, with this creature concept, I'm taking it literally. This and another creature will be part of a larger project later on but this is a concept. The colors will be based on underwater volcanoes to go with its devilish appearance.
ID: a lamp shaped like upside down lily pads with bulbs in individually hanging blossoms
I have an unreasonably string desire to look for full color led versions of these

Still technically a wip, I still need to add cracks and damage to show some wear and tear. I might ink the drawing as well. I'm not sure yet. He also has a war hammer that I'll add in another drawing.
so umm
yes that is Joel Aron, one of the head FX people for TBB. he’s been quite interactive with the fandom throughout the show. I’m positive he’s seen the reactions to the panel and said this to combat the negativity.
that man is staring Tech in the face as he posted this, I KNOW IT 🥺
Hey! i like how you draw hands, can you do a guide on how you do it???????
I looove drawing hands, but they're as fun to draw as they are difficult 👌👏
Usually when I draw, I don't go for perfect realism/anatomically correct, I mostly follow whatever makes the drawing look good, with exaggerated shapes, sharp angles, etc.
Drawing with references is the best advice I can give you!
When I struggle to draw hands I usually just look at my own hand and try to copy it (I have a small mirror next to my computer to make it easier), it works, but it's not always the best option. If you want to improve quickly, find some pictures and practice by drawing them!
A lot of websites have a built-in timer for studies, here is the one I used for this one for example:
So yeah, practice practice practice! The more you draw, the better you'll get!
I'm rewatching The Bad Batch with my folks and, sadly, we're rewatching the finale of season 2 (I watched ahead before my family) and the pain is gonna start coming back. Dang it, I'm gonna cry this time I know it. 😭
i wonder how much of the jedi’s life involves childcare.
not just *teaching the younglings* but having to collectively raise them. the saying that goes, “it takes a village to raise a child” is likely how the order operates since no one has ‘parents’ in the convetional sense. perhaps even part of one’s duties and studies during their padawan phase involves a few hours of babysitting in the week - only for them to grow into knighthood and realize that child rearing doesnt exactly end…
now, pls imagine any of your fav jedi in any of the following:
potty training a 2 year old
having to teach them that “no, the temple walls are not to be drawn on…”
having to solve some kiddie drama because some youngling kept calling their peer a ‘stinky poodoo head’
“okay bad news, one of them escaped the temple - good news, they can’t have gone too far!”
fierce debates about whose parenting style is ruining the younglings
jedi knights snickering at their horrendously awkward friend with no parental instinct barely keep the peace when they’re on youngling duty
“I don’t care what Master Fisto lets you do, I say you have to be in bed by 20:00!”
speaking of bed time, night duty probably sounds like a breeze…until you have to escort several young kids throughout the night to the bathroom (the temple halls are scary at night!), escort them to the mess hall for a glass of water, coax them back to sleep after they’ve awoken from a nightmare, and of course prevent any mischievous little ones from coveting a midnight snack
and then you remember that there are multiple species in the temple and realize that it’s going to be even more ridiculous
“Why can’t I go in the water?” “You haven’t had your swimming lessons yet” “but the other younglings are-” “They’re Mon Calamaris, they need to be in the water a lot!”
bedtime/wake time is especially chaotic, because that’s when the nocturnal and diurnal Jedi are awake and the babysitters are trying to accomplish opposite tasks
kids who want to stay up trying to sneak into a group of younglings with the opposite sleep schedule and the Jedi babysitters having to return them
“why do I have to eat my vegetables if she’s not eating them?!” “she’s a Togruta, they’re carnivores, she can’t eat vegetables!”
Jedi Knights who were with Grogu in the creche as toddlers coming back and babysitting him
Jedi kids all teaming up together to try to steal cookies
#I feel like we also shouldn’t forget all the amphibian younglings going ‘but why can’t my friends be in the water??’#with big sad eyes#as being in the water is clearly a natural and fun thing#and they don’t quite get why the adults broke up what was going to be the best swimming contest the Temple has ever seen (via @ilummoss)
#i literally crack up everytime #at least ten of the notes are from me
I'll carry it with me. The guilt and what's left of you.
I've been in a huge Star Wars mood as of late especially because of The Mandalorian and most recently, The Bad Batch (still heartbroken over the finale 💔). So, I started searching around my files to find this! This is a concept of a Jedi version of my sona (a little self-inserty, I know) but redone to fit into the SW universe. Her name is Auvra Bex and her species is Capriest (Kay-priest), something I made myself nwn. I'm still working on the world building but she is from one of five tribes: Plains, Oceanic, Desert, Volcanic, and Mountain. She's from the Mountain tribe specifically, hence the partial influence in both her patterns and headwear. She wears slightly modified clone armor with parts painted indigo and an armorweave scarf. She is still a Padawan (for now, may change later) and has a master named Zusk, a Cragmoloid. More will be added very, very soon as this is still in the concept phase. However, I believe this is a good starting point for future works, growth, and ideas. 💜
SIDE NOTE: I created her in the Clone Wars era before Order 66.
