When I choose to see the good side of things, I’m not being naive. It is strategic and necessary. It’s how I’ve learned to survive through everything. I know you see yourself as a fighter. Well, I see myself as one too. This is how I fight.
EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE (2022) dir. Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinart
The only thing I do know is that we have to be kind. Please, be kind. Especially when we don’t know what’s going on. EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE (2022) dir. Daniel Kwan, Daniel Scheinert

I need you to look me in the eye first and promise that you’ll never, ever forget that I am very, very funny. First and foremost.
just realized that in 3x05, when lenny promises to call when he gets back, he doesn’t say “i’ll give you a call”, he says “i’ll give you a ring” and ISTG THAT HAD BETTER BE FORESHADOWING OR I’LL LOSE MY MIND
When they say looks can kill, this is what they’re referring to.

You’re staring. So are you.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel | “Because You Left”
Thinking about how when Benjamin sees Midge’s act in season 2, he calls it “sensational” immediately, almost without her asking, and it was the same tone he would use to describe anything else, and in season 3 when Lenny sees her act, and he calls it “sensational”, she has to drag it out of him but when he tells her, its with this tone of complete and utter reverence that she almost seems taken aback by. And how neither one of them said “I love you” to her, but their critique of her act was basically the same thing. The show will always run two parallel lines, of her act and her love life, and how they’re both allegorical. Her relationship with Joel is all about denial of so many things, and her choosing comedy over him was about truth. Then, Benjamin was almost right. She planned for him to be right. But she had to ask him to come to her shows, and he didn’t even think when she asked for a critique, he just said what he thought initially, or what he was supposed to say. I know we all were supposed to blame the Shy Baldwin controversy for Midge’s breakdown, but I think it started before. It’s what Lenny said-“Don’t plan! Work. Just work.” Midge and Benjamin were a testament to Midges’s belief in “the plan”, she planned with him, she planned to marry him, she planned for a normal life because she didn’t think she’d get the comedy thing going, then dropped him for a new plan, the Shy Baldwin plan. She’s too forward thinking and that’s why she breaks when the plan breaks, but she’s never planned Lenny. She didn’t plan to meet him or see him ever again after. She’s never had to ask him to come to her performances, he’s always just come, and although she’s asked for advice and critique, she’s never gotten the advice or critique she asked for. She didn’t plan their night, obviously. But whether she knows it or not, she definitely didn’t plan what’s between them, what they feel for each other. I legitimately don’t have any idea where they’re going to take the Midge/Lenny thing next season, but if they’re wise, they’ll see this dynamic too. She’ll stop with “the plan” and let it go. And she’ll work and work and work. And without even planning, Lenny will be right there alongside her too.

Can we appreciate how Abe went from 03x01 (when Lenny sends the flowers/note) "I'm not spending the morning with him, you can tell him that right now."
To 04x06 sitting in his pajamas inviting Lenny to have breakfast/spend the morning with them.
"Lenny. Good morning. Would you like some coffee?" "Oh, yes. Go with the blintz. The blintz is a wonderful choice."
This is only the 2nd time Abe has seen Lenny (Rose too for that matter) and Lenny's already getting more parental approval than Joel and Benjamin combined.
I’m very sorry. I have forgotten all about it. You still sound mad.
