A hand grips her thigh, gently adjusting it just so, enough to leave him room to shift his hips away, ensuring that there’d be no surprises from his treacherous body later on. His brain knew she was off-limits, but the rest of him would beg to differ. That hand lingers for a moment, feeling the luxurious difference between the cool fabric of her pajamas and her warm skin… then moves up to settle comfortably against the small of her back. That was an innocent enough place, right? Besides, it was the gentlemanly thing to do–– to ensure she wouldn’t fall off the bed. And if he happened to nudge her the slightest bit closer against him, further on top of him.. well, he could chalk that up to concern for her safety as well. These beds really weren’t made for two people.
Ash could feel her eyes on him and felt suddenly glad his head had fallen back against the pillows so that he couldn’t look directly back at her–– something in him knew that if he did, he’d lose just a bit more self-control, something he couldn’t afford to lose more of at the moment. He was already half-naked and in her bed, for Merlin’s sake. “..I’m leaving in a moment, actually,” He mumbles, the pads of his fingers tracing lethargic, nonsensical shapes over her pyjama shirt, against her back. “I’m about to get up… right now,” Ash reaffirms through a yawn, even as he felt his eyelids grow heavy once more, even as he blinked drowsily. “You can sleep, I’ll be quiet when I leave…” And he falls asleep like that, one hand stilling somewhere between her back and her waist, chin tucked down over her head.
His hand on her thigh was hot, sending a jolt of electricity up the back of her neck, all the way down to her toes, spreading goosebumps over her skin, despite the two of them being nestled under a warm blanket. Then the same large hand moved to the small of her back and the two of them were getting awfully cozy in that little bed. Alessa had always hated how narrow their beds were, but was started to appreciate the size. She felt safe, warm and so dang comfortable on top of him, even though there was still a little voice in the back of her mind telling her that they shouldn’t be doing this... any of this. She wasn’t ready for it to end though.
They were so cozy that she didn’t believe him for one second, and a little squeak of a giggle escaped her lips. “Oh yeah?” she challenged, shifting so she could ghost a finger over his chest, drawing shapes on his skin, like he was doing on her back. “Mhm,” she answered in short, barely comprehensible replies as the tiredness started to take over. “Goodnight,” she mumbled when she meant to say goodbye. He wasn’t leaving, and even in her sleepy state she knew that. She drew one last shape, a heart over the organ beating in his chest, then pressed her lips to that same spot, right in the middle of the heart she drew. Then she snuggled in impossibly closer and let her eyes fall closed, drifting into a deep slumber.

Alessa had her best night’s sleep– probably ever, so she didn’t stir until the hard body underneath her started to shift. “’m not ready to get up yet,” she mumbled through a yawn. Bowing her back to stretch, she sleepily turned her head and opened her eyes to make sure this was real and it wasn’t just a dream. Even as she drifted to sleep, she expected him to be gone when she woke up, and maybe that would have been for the best. This... thing between them was getting messy, especially now that Sera knew about them... or didn’t know about them... "Can we stay in bed forever?” she asked, voice barely a whisper.
