This Muse Is Moving!
So, I went ahead and decided to do the whole multi-muse blog thing, and Ian has decided to be moved over to it. Iāll post a link once Iāve gotten it set up and continue current threads over there.
Debating on possibly turning this blog into a multi-muse blog. Ian isnāt screaming at me as strongly as he did in the beginning, and I miss Charlie even though she doesnāt have much desire in having her own blog anymore. Plus, it would definitely save me from making a crapload of blogs for all the muses Iād love to have, and I really, really, really like this url.
Send š to walk in on my muse killing someone.
To provoke me is a horrible, Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā horrible, Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā mistake.
The way he looks at her, then just come closer⦠and that little eyebrows raise and smile at the endā¦
What the hell was he doing? Why was he suddenly risking his personal safety- his own life, for that matter- for something that couldn't possibly benefit him in the long run? Ian had learned within the first several months after the outbreak that although it was certainly dangerous for one to be out on their own, it could be certain death to be part of a group. And the more people there were the higher the possibility was for disaster to strike. All it took was just one mistake. One bite. One death. Just one. And everything would come crashing down in a storm of screams and blood.
But a glance across the small space in the back of the van the small group was riding in had Ian shoving down every instinct to pack his things and leave that very night. Long dark hair flowing freely over slender shoulders, framing an angelic face with an adorable plump nose and full lips that could form the sweetest smile he'd ever laid eyes on in his entire life. And when her captivating eyes caught his once again, and the corners of her mouth turned up with only the barest hint of that smile, the man felt his concerns melting away just as quickly as they began to build.
It was unlikely that Steve would be missed. Not many liked him, anyway. He was loud and crude and always reeked of body odor and gut-rot moonshine whiskey. Even his so-called 'friends' barely tolerated him on most days. So why would anyone doubt Ian's story of how they were cornered by a cluster of the undead and Steve wasn't quick enough to avoid being pulled back into their clutches? Why would they ever suspect that Ian had actually forced Steve back into his demise? He had the blood on his arms and clothes to serve as a symbol that he tried to help, to attempt to prevent the loss. The two men had been on their own, paired up to inspect and scavenge for anything useful as the group spread out to cover more ground as quickly as possible. And with Sean not being the only casualty that day, Ian was unlikely to be doubted in his retelling of the events.
Unless James suspected something. James was the one to watch out for. He was their psychotic 'leader' of sorts, banding the people together in their roving convoy with more fear than inspiration. He regularly made examples out of those who crossed him in some way, and his chosen methods were ghastly and barbaric. James did what he wanted, when he wanted, and to whom he wanted without a single second to think about his actions or the consequences of them. So there was a good possibility that James wouldn't give more than a moment's thought to the loss of his little lapdog henchman since they were so easily replaceable to him. Still, Ian would remain on his guard around James and the rest of his 'friends' for a while to be sure, just in case Steve had already opened his fat mouth on one of his drinking binges and said something about Ian and Clara that would get the both of them killed. Or worse.
Only one more hour until I get to leave work and start on a mega-feelsy thing for @falling-for-a-fantasy in which we will rip each other's hearts out with every post. Oh, yeah. It's gonna be awesome. XD
As the hardships from the fall of modern society mounted ever higher and hope for the future dwindled, Ian found himself turning colder and darker. He stopped caring so much for the well-being of others and started focusing mainly on himself and how he was going to survive it all. Eventually, he became the man who would be more likely to leave someone behind and let them become a meal for the ravenous undead rather than risk his own life trying to ensure their survival as well. His demeanor became unpredictable, and it was hard to tell from one day to the next if he cared at all for anyone but himself. Especially when even he couldnāt answer the question.
Clara had been smiling and laughing along with each comment. It wasnāt until the end that she realised how serious he had been. His comment made her blush before she nodded,Ā āOkay thenā¦weāll get married. It will be like having a roommate and you wonāt have to meet people.ā Clara also smiled slightly to herself before she hugged him gratefully,Ā āI also wonāt stop smelling of flowers.āĀ
āGood. Then itās settled. Iāll even be embarrassingly romantic and get you a ring and propose to you in front of a crowd of strangers so we have a plethora of witnesses just like any other normal couple. And no one will ever know that the real reason Iām keeping you around is so I can smell flowers in the air whenever youāre around as well as being privileged enough to play duets with you whenever we feel like it.ā
āI love the sea but I donāt do very well in deep water. I can swim but just not for very long or if I panic. I once fell into the deep end of the pool once and I lasted about thirty seconds before I clung onto my mother. Rocking ships donāt bode well with me either so hopefully that doesnāt happen.āĀ
Clara scrunched her nose up at him calling her a beautiful creature. It seemed to her that she was just very ordinary looking. Someone who was pretty but nothing extravagant. His grin caused her cheeks to flare and she smiled up at him,Ā āNo, I havenāt had much experience with men for a long time. I donāt think my goal will be to break your heart but you should guard it. Sometimes women find wonderful ways to wrap someone around their fingers.ā The cellist couldnāt even keep a straight face and her resolve broke as she started laughing.Ā Ā
āWell, the good news is that something like that doesnāt happen often during this time of the year, so we shouldnāt have much cause to worry. But in the event it does, and you find yourself falling overboard or something, I happen to be a fairly strong swimmer and you have my word that I will jump in after you.ā
āMmm, you have a point there,ā he replied, a chuckle falling from his lips.Ā āWomen can be quite devious in their ability to get what they want. Though I can attest that the same can be said for a man, so both sexes can be held equally accountable in that department. Itās a flaw in our design, I suppose. To achieve a personal goal, selfish or not in its root, despite the damage it can potentially cause to those around us.ā
ok, but your otp being cute and domestic as fuck:
hoarseĀ āgood morningās whispered in the soft dawn light, hands clumsily finding each other through the haze of sleep
sprawled out on the couch together, marathoning so-bad-theyre-good sci-fi movies, flicking popcorn at each other to try to catch in their mouths at commercial breaks
dancing on hardwood floors in fuzzy socks, catching one another when they slide too far (the tall one stopping to argue- āyouāre wearing my socksā āno iām notā āthey come up to your knees!ā ā⦠that proves nothingā)
curled under a shared blanket on the couch, watching scary movies far later than advisable, clinging tighter to one another at each jumpscare
cooking dinner together, stealing kisses as payment for anything and everything (āi need to get into that cabinetā āitāll cost you~ā / āhey can you pass the celeryā āmmmmaybeā)
New Theme!
So, in an effort to shake off the āblahā feeling from my recent hiatus (and ever-so-lovely battle with my allergies thanks to a weather front barreling in from the north during my weekend trip to Oklahoma earlier this month) and get myself back into to headspace to work on my overdue thread replies, all my darling muses have been fitted with new blog themes! Hooray! (Internet Cuddlehugs to the eternally-awesome @octomoosey for creating some new themes while I was away so I could find them and instantly load them up and customize them to my babiesā likings!)
Also, some replies might end up being posted from my new tablet if I get them done during my āinternet off-hoursā and my theory on how to do so works. (This whole Android system is new to an Apple girl like me, but Iām learning!) So if that happens then the posts wonāt be edited like they normally are, but will be tagged so I can do that when I get on my computer.
Hiatus Notice
Oopsie! Someone forgot to put up a notice to let people know she was going to be away for a bit! My bad!

Um, yeah. This little mun has been a preoccupied little birdie and let herself get too distracted by her personal life to let people know sheād be taking a slight break from her to-do list. So now she must make a public apology and late announcement of her hiatus.
So, yeah. But donāt worry, darlings! Iāll be getting back to work on my things soon! Promise!
