A character design commission done! Really big one with two characters, requested of me by @/Dollybunzz on Twitter! She requested two Nameless Ghoulettes, of the multighoul variety, one Quint/Earth and one Quint/Air!
Loved working on these two designs and getting to do some minor alt color variations too!

I don't have ref sheets for Alpha, Ifrit, and Dewdrop yet, but I will soon! Hopefully... but I do have my general fire ghoul ref sheet :)
Right now, I'm working with the idea that they have reptilian characteristics. Here's a lil excerpt from my "Guide to Ghouls" fic I'm writing:
What you can expect from fire ghouls:
They have higher internal body temperature. This is usually paired with heat vents somewhere on the body– typically along the neck. This helps them regulate their temperature, both to raise and lower it depending on the situation.
The ability to withstand high temperatures. This includes being able to walk through fire and touch molten metal with their bare hands, among other things.
An ability to manifest flames from their body. These flames tend to die out the further the ghoul moves away, even if it is fueled like a normal fire.
They tend to be very passionate and volatile; they do not hold back their emotions.
Humans find themselves drawn to fire ghouls for their warmth and exciting nature.
Fire ghouls are very useful for metal working, but they tend to be very eager to take on most jobs. And of course, they make excellent little space heaters.
Alpha
Alpha was one of the first ghouls summoned specifically to be apart of the new Ghost project, but he isn't actually the oldest fire ghoul that's played with the band. He is a full demon, unlike the other two, so he has all the standard fire ghoul traits, including very skilled manipulation of flames. ...Don't tell anyone, but his tail has fallen off a lot more times than he'd ever admit.
Ifrit
Ifrit is actually the oldest fire ghoul that has played for Ghost. He was summoned/created by binding a soul to a corpse a very long time ago, so he's had time to develop a lot of the standard fire ghoul traits like horns. He isn't actually very heat resistant, though, and his heat vents are mostly non functional; occasionally they'll spit out smoke, but that's about it. He does not have a tail. And also he's Egyptian bc @ghulah said so and he's right,
Dewdrop
Dewdrop is also a ghoul that was summoned/created using a corpse, however he was summoned shortly before joining the Ghost project. He was originally a water ghoul, but the clergy had had...a lot of bad luck with water ghouls. So they tested something out: adding a bit of another element to his summoning. Fire had been a very reliable element, so they went with that. This technically makes him a multi ghoul, but he is predominantly a water ghoul, before "transitioning" to let more of his fire ghoul traits surface. This caused his hair to bleach, skin to darken, and heat vents to develop on his neck (they don't work very well). His horns also grew a little, and he developed a very small tail.

Could you tell us more about the Haze's tail?.. Please?.. :>
I have a headcanon for my ghoul designs where multighouls either have multiple or lacking body parts because of their mixed elements.
For example:
Aurora - 3 eyes
Swiss - Extra teeth
Sunshine - Extra pair of horns
Phil - Missing tail
I didn't want my Haze design to simply have two tails so her tail splits in the middle. It's a regular demon tail that at first glance seems normal but it's split making her have two tail ends. She can control whether it's open or closed. She also has an extra grip whenever she wraps her tail on something.

Quintessence Ghouls in General:
So first of all, as always, I headcanon quintessence Ghouls as fallen angels. Their horns are actually broken halos made of glass. They have two sets of eyes, but as ghouls the second set is permanently closed.
They grow small patches of fur and feathers; the feathers are prone to falling out. They're all intersex (gonadal dysgensis)
Omega:
Omega was the first quint ghoul summoned by the LA ministry location, and was summoned just before the Ghost project restarted with Papa Emeritus I. He's not exactly a social butterfly, but he does love being around people and making others smile; he does prefer to "hide" behind his hoods & masks though. He has always helped with writing the albums, as it turns out he has a good ear for music. He still helped write for Ghost even after he "retired". Playing Guitar is actually one of his favorite things (most band ghouls have other passions, but not Omega).
He's the one quint ghoul that's most attached to his previous identity as an angel.
Aether:
Aether is the only quint ghoul to with testosterone injects & bottom surgery (i don't know or care to know the logistics of how a ghoul gets access to all that). After being summoned, he found that he had a real passion for cooking and jumps at any chance he gets to make food for people or try new recipes. I hate to say it, but he really is just "the dad friend." He's chill and laid back, but he cares a whole hell of a lot about the people around him... but not enough to stop saying "Hi hungry, I'm Aether."
Honestly, he was probably the quint ghoul most excited to abandon his old identity and embrace everything the world had to give him. He'll try anything once!
Phantom:
Phantom is the youngest quint ghoul, and not just because he was the most recently summoned. He actually didn't spend any time in Heaven at all; before he was "finished" he was deemed to imperfect, and cast off to hell. He was summoned to the ministry not long after that, so he's a bit naive. He learns very fast though! He took after Aether a lot, and is just as eager to try everything, but he's got a lot less self preservation in him.
Due to everything that happened to Phantom before he was summoned, he actually ended up with very poor eyesight. His eyes have adapted well by now, but for the longest time Aurora was the person he relied on to help him navigate while they were on tour.
