I'm considering writing my own dark au DonPad fic,,, a fic of a fic,,,, dark and scraggly Launchpad,, big guy who's always smiling even while he's angry, super fake guy who has the liberty to treat powerful people however he wants because he knows he's stronger than them,,, keeping a lousy job as Scrooge's limo driver even though it eats through his free time and is more often than not more trouble than it's worth,,,,, just for the chance to see a vulnerable Donald locked somewhere deep in the mansion from time to time. I think that's a great idea. But the fic writer who is establishing this setting seems to be directing it more toward a drakepad path,,, which I am not a fan of. A real shame

I like when Bugs is actually arrogant and doesn't play well with others, at least on a personal level

It's not as fun for me when Bugs' and Daffy's rivalry is so one sided to the point where it seems like Daffy is a jealous has been who's trying to one up an obliviously innocent Bugs who is portrayed purely as a victim of success

That's my Mom's view of him at least lol

2011 Looney Tunes Show Bugs is soooo far away from the Bugs who I personally grew up with like I remember him showing off his mansion and bragging about dedicated fans while basking by his pool so it's hard for me to imagine him as a character who gets fed up with Daffy's zany & prideful attitude as if anything he dishes out against him isn't something he could whole heartedly match

I know that these characters change with every writer I just think it's a shame that this version of Bugs doesn't show up more in art or fics

Alsoooo, Daffy casually being in his house during his interview cannot be overlooked they spend an insane amount of time together

And look at how little Bugs is willing to share his spotlight loooollllllll
