Linking iPad to Tumblr

Well, let's go ahead and put this on the old to-do list. I'm sure there is a Tumblr app, and then I could easily upload the amazing (sort-of) photos that I take.

Second up: get people to move here if we are leaving Twitter because everything works, and makes sense here.

Mastodon's Fatal Flaw

I hate to say anything, but the one thing people keep touting as what makes Mastodon so great, is actually why it is doomed to fail.

If a whole instance can ban the instance you are on because of <something>, then you either have to find transfer to a new instance or surrender the ability to communicate with that group of users. In order to do so, you would have to

a) know that your instance has been banned

b) find out which instances you can't be on because of banning -- there is no guarantee that your personal ethics and those of an instance would fully overlap

c) transfer to that new instance

d) repeat as necessary, which may be often depending on who has itchy trigger fingers.

(Remember: mast-O-don not mast-a-don)

The Twitter Exodus

I don't have any real problems with Twitter, although I don't use it for much that's controversial, other than opinions on food. For now, everybody is all about Mastadon, but I remember the before-times on here. It was never like Twitter, but maybe that isn't all bad.

How do you find out what your real credit score is for free? There are lots of free online credit score sites, but are they real scores or fake scores?

Updating the oldies but goodies. You don't need your real credit score unless you are actively shopping for a loan. If not, all you need is to make sure it's going in the right direction. Up!
