" the last few years has been nothing but a whirlwind and she honestly had no clue how she was going to rebuild her life from it. "is that what you want? for more to come out of this?" she's never been shy about going for what she really wants and right now, it seemed like a perfect time to ask for it. "carefree or careless? because i'm so good at doing both." that was a bit surprising to her, she never thought that after this trip (if they even make it alive) anyone would even want to stay in touch, especially with her. "you could definitely come by, i took over my grandmother's estate so there's room for you there if you need a change."

"i'm simply trying to prevent a problem before it becomes one. if you know in advance i'm looking for quiet you're less likely to make noise, it's forward thinking. and i'm not being an ass. this is me being perfectly polite and friendly." it wasn't. he had no idea why he was even trying to argue that he was being polite when he had no intension of doing that. "then you must be really out of fucking touch if you think you're being perfectly polite. what makes you think that you can just talk to someone like that? god, you're just fucking annoying and for that, i'm gonna give you exactly what you want from me." if he wanted to play fire with her than why was she still being nice about it? she didn't owe him a fucking thing. so she pulled a book from the shelf, opening it up only to slam it shut and yell how boring it sounded and drop it to the floor. then she did it again and just one more time to really put him on edge.

his heartbeat remained steady, but his eyes couldn't help but roll at the sight of arden. stress already gnawed at him, and encountering her was the last thing he needed. despite his inner reluctance, he plastered on his most insincere smile and halted to engage in conversation with her, though both knew it was the last thing either of them desired. "i'm so glad before we get murdered i get to see your friendly face again," he quipped, sarcasm lacing his words, while a falsely sweet smile played upon his lips.

adren knows that she's not everyone's favorite person, sometimes she's too sad, sometimes she's not sad enough. but one thing she does know is that most of the time, she's just doesn't give a fuck. so when she hears that familiar voice running through the kitchen as she spreads butter on her toast, she doesn't hid the fact that she rolls her eyes. "well, if this is the end, thank god, it's my face that's the last thing you see. it's must be a dream come true for you, i'm sure." she knows it's not and she would rather do more than just use the knife on toast if she could end this conversation sooner.

"wonderful. just what i need." elias muttered rolling his eyes. "can you at least keep it down if you insist on being in here?" the last thing he wanted to do when emotions were already high was deal with somebody like arden that he'd never liked. instead of worrying about it he turned his attention to the notepad on the table and began scribbling in it once again.

"does it fucking look like i'm out here making any noise?" he had no right talking to her like she was a problem. as if she's out here making his life harder, she had better things to do than seek him out. "by the way, it's not like you own this entire fucking space. if i want to be loud and make some fucking noise i will. so how about instead of being an ass, how about you at least be respectful when talking to people."

miray whirled around at the sound of arden's voice, relief flooding her at the sight of the familiar face. however, the relief was short-lived as soon as she heard the emotion in arden's tone. if there was one thing miray hated more than dealing with her own pain and sadness and that was having to be around someone else's. her mind went into overdrive, searching for either a distraction or a way to excuse herself and go back inside. "well that would suck, i'm way too hot to die." she laughed, attempting to lighten the mood. she looked back towards the lake, an idea popping into her mind. "i might go for a swim in the lake. care to join?" she asked hopefully.

arden was not an emotional person but the weight of three deaths within a couple days was harder to bare than she though and as selfish as it sounds, it made her think of her grandmother. she's not sure if she would ever get over that. at this point, arden knew miray wasn't the type of person to comfort or display some type of ease which is what she really needed to pull herself together. doing her best to push down any time of feelings as her lips broke out into a smile. "you know what? why the fuck not?" she slipped her shirt off her body as she continued to make her way to the edge before unbuttoning her shorts. "are we skinny dipping or what?"

" our big california girl. how has that life been treating you ?? " michigan has always stayed her home, even when she had disappeared from the bottom of the earth to be arranged to marry someone she hated her guts of. somehow she never found her way out. " i can only imagine all the story's you have yet to tell me about."

"you know what, the way you just said that sound so fucking hot or maybe the alcohol has finally hit me," arden smirks as she pours herself another shot before taking it. "better than michigan has ever treated me that's for fucking sure but california moves fast, when i first got there, it felt like everyone had things to do. things never felt done because life just took you in direction."

before now if had been easy for miray to avoid what was happening. she wasn't particularly close to aaron so it was easier for her to deal with but cat, cat was someone she considered a friend. no. she wasn't only a friend, she was a best friend; someone miray could always count on and now she was gone. just like everyone else in miray's life always seemed to be gone eventually. the second she saw the body her entire being shut down and she wondered away from the scene. her legs carried her out of the house and over to the lake, not much caring that she was alone with a killer on the loose. being around everyone else seemed like her idea of torture. she'd managed to get a few minutes alone before she heard footsteps behind her. for the past couple of hours, arden had felt regretful. something she hadn't felt in a very long time and it was all thanks to leo. leo out of all people was making her felt like. she had to be in the twilight zone. but thinking back on their last conversation, she was nothing but a bitch to him. she was rude and.. well, high enough not to remember much but she knew he didn't deserve that. so she came out to take a breath, maybe hope that the cold will be freezing enough to kill her before she becomes a final girl. "i feel like by you saying that, it would only make them want to ruin your pretty little face." arden tried to joke, she really did but maybe something more like a sob came out.

elias had reached the point where he could barely stand to be around most of the people in the house. some of their reactions to the situation were... unhinged to put it nicely. he didn't expect everybody to remain calm when their friends were dying around them, just a little bit of intelligence would have been nice. he was sat in the living room when arden called in, causing him to roll his eyes. arden had spend the last week letting everything but her emotions eat away at her and even then, she had a sinking feeling that by allowing everything else to ruin her, it was doing exactly that. this was the last fucking thing she needed right now, her ptsd from watching her grandmother die and then now aaron, she didn't know if she could hold on for much longer. "yeah, well, now you're getting a visitor." she couldn't even bare to look at him. there was no fucking breathing room in this house.

" i believe it is the opposite, you are the perfect candidate for this predicament. " emotions were running high and therefore anyone who could relief her from this state of mind was her best friend for that moment. " i am glad you are here to join somehow. i was never quite the type to be too crazy, but perhaps age has shown me a different path."

"well, i do love it when people say i'm perfect so i have no choice to give in." she playfully rolled her eyes as if it was drag for her to do so. arden was more than capable of saying no but what would the fun be in that? "to be honest, that kind of makes sense but i'm coming from califorina where they literally still drink like they're back in high school but they just have money to spend on better alcohol.. so maybe i'm a little too used that."

Nathan couldn't help but catch an attitude back with his friend. He was already on the defense after what had happened to Aaron and with Ardens sarcasm, he really wasn't sure he was in the mood for it all. "No one wanted this to happen, Arden." He stared down at the water, jaw clenched tightly for a moment as remembered the way Aaron looked on the grass behind them. "But it's what's happening and we have to find some way to deal with it, all of this fucked up shit that's happening."

"fuck that! i don't have to deal with the bullshit that just happened." she breathed. trying hard not to let her emotion show on the surface. "we were all supposed to be friends, we're supposed to have each other's back no matter what but what kind of friends kill each other?" arden knows she's far from perfect and recently, farther from even being friendly but that didn't mean that she had murder on her mind. maybe for one person. whoever did this to aaron. "what are we suppose to do, now, nathan?"

Leo stood in silence for a moment, thoughts all over the place as he tried to come up with something witty to say or knowing him just down right stupid. After a moment he looked over at Arden, his eyebrow arched a little before finally speaking. "Arden-" he paused for a moment to collect his thoughts, "we literally just found our friend dead, i'm not really in the mood to play these kinds of games.." his voice drifting off a little, "no offence, I'd have loved them yesterday when we were all alive for sure."

it wasn't like she didn't feel sad about aaron but fuck, there was no way she was about to let her pain see the light of day again after everything that happened to her. she's been through enough and if she has to numb herself to get through the day then so be it. arden wasn't about to let leo of all people judge her for it. "didn't realize you got so boring," she said as she sat down on the grass, feeling all the weight lift off of her. "tell me, how do you plan on getting out of here?" i'll pretend to care.

miray had already had what most people would consider too much to drink but as she wasn't yet blacked out and running around half naked there was still room for more. if the sight of aaron's body hadn't left her brain by the end of the night she clearly hadn't tried hard enough. "what is it?" she asked, staring at the bottle for a few seconds to figure out what was in it before quickly giving up. "actually no i don't care. fuck it, i'll take it. it doesn't actually matter what it is at this point. is it at least strong?"

arden was fine with being the girl that took things too far, that drank too much, that went close to the edge. at this point, she would be surprise if they thought any different of her just because of a death. it's a good enough reason why she should get a free pass for being reckless tonight. "see, this is why we get along so well. not a care in the world," she smirks at the other before taking another long drink to make sure that the buzz catches up with her once they get to the greater part of the night. arden hands the bottle over to miray, "come on, lets go up stairs though. i know a friend of mine who's dying to join."

"I know how to drive" he pointed out, "I have a license for a reason, I haven't passed many tests in my life but driving was one of them." That wasn't counting for the fact he didn't even know he had it back yet after his stint in prison for drink driving. "Well, that's a real issue then. Looks like we're all hiking out of here."

"it's cause i'm not as faded as i'd like to be right now but give it a minute, i'll be all sunshine in like five." she could almost feel it coming and she would know because leo's talking doesn't make her want to strangle the hell out of him. emotions were running high, past and new trauma's weren't being dealt with. it wasn't quite like esmeray to choose alcohol as a coping mechanism yet after feeling the tension this weekend created it was the only remedy to her ailment. "if we're being honest, i'm surprise there's still something left to drink."

Standing at the edge of the dock, Nathan looked down at the still water below him. Pushing the shades that were over his eyes up to the top of his head now. "The water feels weird now." He commented a little more quietly than usual, glancing over at his friend that stood beside him. "Feels creepy as fuck now."

"oh, shit. really? never would've guessed after you know.. a dead body and all." arden have yet again feel herself drifting away from people who mattered to her. she would've never came back here if it wasn't for aaron, if he didn't assured her that she would have fun and that she'll forget about the hell she's been through. well, fuck you, aaron. how can you put me through this again? she wanted to scream up to wherever he was.
