i don’t owe it to anyone, but i’ve been thinking so much of doing this post. i’ve missed so many frozen 2 updates, and i haven’t been sharing content here... not because i don't care or because i don’t like the movie anymore (that’d never happen, this movie has taken so much of my life in the best of ways)

the movie is coming out this friday, and so is my due date to turn in my thesis. 

back in 2014, a year after the movie came out, frozen gave me so much confort and helped me decide what i wanted to do with my life. 

when frozen came out, i was a sophomore in high school and now im a senior in college about to graduate. the 22nd is going to be a dAY

What kind of green is Anna's coronation dress? Is # AEB37B color value?

This is a really interesting question! Color is a really funny thing and it changes with the light. So, Anna’s dress when she meet Hans is one color, but then Anna arriving at Oaken’s is a different shade. 

I took this piece of concept art by Britney Lee, which is not affected by any light on set and using state of the art technology (the eyedropper tool) I picked a color from the middle of the skirt and got #9AA067, which is just a bit darker than #AEB37B. So I guess either would work for you! 

If you’re working on a project you’re going to print, make sure you’re working on CMYK and not on RGB! Otherwise you’re colors will look weird if you print it!

Frozen II takes place 3 years after its predecessor, Mar, not 5 years. So Elsa and Kristoff are 24 and Anna is 21. Btw, it's interesting that Disney has given the title a Roman numeral for the number in the title, because I rarely see that done for most other sequels in film franchises, whether for the actual title cards or on posters and other promotional material.

Thanks for clearing that up! It threw me off when they said 26, but I was like okay and then I let it go through. Hehehe.

I like the roman numerals instead of having the “2”, it’s a more regal and formal, and the shapes are also pointy so it also has the same ‘language’ of the snowflakes.

Okay I really want to talk about this to someone. There's something about the Frozen franchise that makes me really happy; the fact that the characters aren't teenagers, like in most Disney movies. Elsa was 21 in Frozen, and Frozen 2 takes place 5 years later, making her 26. As someone in their mid-twenties myself, it's nice to see that not only children and teens can go on adventure and learn about themselves, but adults can do that too. That's so important to me.

I agree with you. It’s nice to have ‘older’ characters and not be like “Sh- I’m 10 years OLDER than this character…” 

But now that I’m thinking about it, I guess the best part is that the ages are not really that important. Like, okay, Elsa is old enough to be the queen and her powers get discovered thanks to this, but other than that… Her story is not about her being queen, it’s about her accepting herself… and the fact that she’s the snow queen. 

Same for Anna fixing her sisterly relationship, and finding some new friends along the way. She tried to do that (or we are shown she tried to) when she was 5, and then 9, and then 18…

(Okay but, not because they are thin does it mean they are ripped. But it’d make sense if they are fit... especially Kristoff because of how physical ice harvesting is)
