Saturn is the misfortunate planet

Saturn comes to the Earth and makes everyone miserable. Saturn rules sufferings, pains and restrictions. But, once people figure out how to get out of the trap, people gain a wise, wealth, and authority over people or lands.

Saturn doesn’t come to give every human lesson. Saturn comes here to mess up with their life like set them up for failure.

In ancient mythology, Kronos felt threatened by his own children because he was worried that his throne will be stolen. He made a decision. He ate of all his children in order to secure his throne. His wife was afraid and saved Zeus from Kronos.

Saturn is entering in one of your houses and it makes a difficult for you. Saturn will try to slow you down, or prevent you from an opportunity. It makes you feel hopeless and skeptic about the future. This is reason why Saturn is the greater malefic. Literally, Saturn eats all of your hopes.

Some people believe that Saturn will reward you if you complete all of the lessons. Unfortunately, Saturn refuses to remove all of the difficulties for you. Even though you are doing everything correctly. Saturn doesn’t care at all. So, what should I do with a difficult situation? I have two choices. I can complain about it all day. Or, I have to learn how not to react. Like Rhea has two choices. She can argue with Kronos and hope that he will be convinced. Or, she decide to save one of the children and say nothing. If she chose the first choice, she will be punished severely. Perhaps, she will lost her opportunity to save her son.

Saturn doesn’t come here to guide you for a right path. Saturn comes here to make your world upside down and see how you can handle.

Maybe, in the past, you were been applying your resume to a companies and most of them were not even looking at your resume? When you were invited to an interview, you felt so hopeful. Later, you found out that you were not selected. You felt crushed so hard like your spirit is being taken away? At some point, you decided to be pretend and play charade correctly. Suddenly, you were hired. You found out how works in this real world. Like Rhea had to lie otherwise she will lost her opportunity forever.

One day, Saturn visits me and get me fucked up with financial responsibility. At this point, I have to pause and think logically. How can I solve it? Can I build a new backup? I don’t have to repeat the suffering? When Saturn leaves, I go straight to build a new backup right away. When Saturn visits me again and tries to get me fucked up again, I can access to the backup that I build. Saturn cannot get me fucked up again. Saturn is jealous of my perfect plan. I have to maintain my financial responsibility constantly.

At glance, it seems Saturn wants to teach you how to do things correctly. If you pay attention enough, you may realize that Saturn doesn’t even try to teach you how to do things. Saturn wants to get you fucked up. Like a weed is appeared in a garden. The weed is taking a water away from a plants. The plants are dying in the garden. You have to come to the garden and rid of all weeds. You know that other weed will be appeared again anyway. Saturn loves weed and get plants to be stone.

Saturn is a bit unique because Saturn rules both fool and wise. Fool people who never figure out how to get out of the trap. They will make same mistake over and over. Wise people who actually figure out how to get of the trap. The wise people don’t have to suffer the same mistake again. Like if you neglect that weeds are problem in the garden, everything will be ruined. You have to take action to destroy all of the weeds unless you want your plants to be high ;).

Now, open your journal notebook and take a look at the date that day Saturn was entered in one of your houses. You may notice things get better after Saturn left and moved to other house.

For example, Saturn is entering in your second house. It pressures on your financial situation. Sometimes, it’ll force you to learn how to be frugal. Sometimes, you will be asked to spend on something to get exempted. Sometimes, you will be paid a little. After Saturn left, suddenly, you can handle your financial responsibility better. You will be paid a bit more than previous. General example.

Saturn never give you a lesson. Try to think it as video game. A programmer build a world, then let you play the video game programmer built. One thing you can’t do is, change the game because you are not allowed to do that. If you fail, you have to find other way to overcome the game, right? Like you have to learn how not to react to lose. Instead, accept defeat and try other strategy plan. You memorize a boss’s pattern and find a way to attack the boss’s weakness. Once you overcome the boss, you are invited to other level. A new boss is stronger and more aggressive. You have to analyze and build a strategy plan again and again. When you completed all of the game, you decide to start from beginning and the game will be mercy on you because you learned your lesson? No. The game is same, not changed at all. You just memorize all of the game and it is a bit easy for you. You become wiser because you figured out all the difficulties.

Therefore, Saturn is the misfortunate planet.

Major Aspect

Conjunction

Two planets are blending in. If a dominant planet overcome other planet in the conjunction, a dominant planet is emphasized.

Sextile

A planet provides a support to other planet, but it is not enough support. Like a planet says, “I got you. Don’t worry about it.” When something happens, you need a help and you receive a bit support. Better than nothing.

Square

A planet disagrees with other planet. They are both fighting with each other. Or, a dominant planet pressures other planet to do a thing the dominant planet told. Like a planet says, “You don’t get it. This is only way. You better listen to me now.” “You act like you know everything. Pfft.” other planet said.

Trine

A planet provides full support to other planet. They are agreeing with each other peacefully. They understand each other.

Opposition

A planet is very disagree with other planet. They are strong contrary to each other. Like a planet wants to have peace and other planet wants to have a conflict. Peace and conflict can’t work together, right? How can you want peace when you decide to cause a conflict? Libra wants balance and Aries wants chaos. Scorpio wants revenge and Taurus wants forgive. Capricorn wants to be stubborn and stick with a plan and Cancer wants to be adventure and learn a new thing.

Angular House

There are three angular houses. Angular, succendant and cadent. It shows me how much potent that planet gets out of the angular house.

Angular

First house, fourth house, seventh house and tenth house are angular. It is powerful potent.

Succendant

Second house, fifth house, eighth house and eleventh house are succendant. It is moderate potent.

Cadent

Third house, sixth house, ninth house and twelfth house are cadent. It is weak potent.

If the Venus is in the cadent house, the native desires romance, but feel not enough motivated to flirt with someone. Or, the native experience lack of romance. If the Venus is in the angular house, the native experience a lot of sex, parties and many friends. Gender Expression of a Planet

When we find out gender term in astrology, we have to think which people or action. If we focus on action, we should think it as gender expression. If we focus on people, we should think it as gender biology. (A bit complicated.) For example, Venus and Moon are both indicated a woman. If the Venus is afflicted in the transit, a woman will suffer. If the Venus is strong, a woman will achieve something. But, for now. We focus on gender expression. Okay, so masculine expression. The native will take action recklessly without calculation. Feminine expression. The native will take extra caution and take action with calculation.

A native’s ascendant is ruled by Mars and Mars is feminized heavily. The native is making a decision wisely, making move slowly and sneaking. I have to introduce this to you. If Mars is ahead of the Sun, Mars is evening star. If Venus is behind of the Sun, Venus is morning star.

Venus Taurus moves fast. 1+ score for masculine. Venus Taurus is morning star. 1+ score for masculine. Venus is feminine. 1+ score for feminine. Taurus sign is feminine. 1+ score for feminine. Okay, let’s count. 3+ masculine and 2+ feminine. The native is flirting with someone a bit recklessly, but have some strategy to make someone fall in love with the native.

Planetary Hour

What is planetary hour?

First thing you need to know is, civil hours. For example, I find out that Sun will be rise at 4:52 in my local and Sun will be set at 20:46. Now, I need to do is, math. Some of you may not like math like me. But, I have to do math anyway. I need to divide by 12 to find how many time left for a planet hour. So, I find that day will be last for 15 hour and 54 minutes. 15 hours and 54 minutes by 12 = 1.32 ish. Now, I know the day planet will last for 1 hour and half. Like Venus will last for 1 hour and half. After that, Mercury hour will be started and last for 1 hour and half. But, for night, I will have to do math again like divide by 12. Okay, for night, I have to calculate from sunset to sunrise, not sunrise to sunset. From 20:47 to 4:51, it is 8 hours and 5 minutes of the night. 8 hours and 5 minutes by 12 = 0.67 ish. So, the night planet will be last for almost 1 hour.

Congratulations! Now, you know what is planetary hour! Whew, I can move on and I don’t have to do math ever again! (I lied. I know I will have to do math sometimes… yay!)

Planetary hour in order; Saturn > Jupiter > Mars > Sun > Venus > Mercury > Moon > repeat, Saturn.

Okay, now. We wake up in the morning of Monday. We are tired and grumpy. We are not fan of Monday. Obviously, Moon day. When Sun rises, Moon hour will be started because Moon day. It means Moon hour will come first before Saturn hour. So, we experience moody and grumpy vibe for 1 hour and half. Next day, we wake up in the morning of Tuesday. We are frustrated and impatient because we want Friday now. Oh, Mars day. Mars hour will be started when Sun rises.

What is purpose of planetary hour?

Many reasons to use a planetary hour. You want to have a positive experience with dating life? Date someone during Venus. You want to have a conversation with your employer? Do that during Sun hour. You want to get an advice, or new perspective? Talk to someone during Jupiter hour.

I make a few suggestions for every planet hour.

Saturn hour: its good time to hide your things in somewhere. No one can finds your things. Build a new gate, fence, or wells. Also, it is good time to dig out some ground. Like you want to pour water in designed area. Study a book deeply. This hour grants you to be focused on a specific study. Make sure that you have no people around you. Visit your loved one from graveyard.

Jupiter hour: its good time to worship and praise God, gods and goddess. Seek a consult from wise people. Seek a help from people. Have a conversation with your favorite teacher.

Mars hour: Buy a new kitchen knife. Buy a livestocks. Buy a new gun. Re-sharping your knife. Train your pet to understand your command. Train yourself to be best fighter.

Sun hour: Visit your employer and request a favor. Open your business. Go to a big audience and give your presentation.

Venus hour: Have a fun in a bed. Fun conversation. Visit your woman friend. This hour grants you to feel relax and peace. Visit musician and have a chat. Make your own arts. Dance to relaxed musics. It is good time to be playful and goofy.

Mercury hour: Write your thoughts on a journal, send a letter, visit scholar and ask a few questions, translate between languages. Start a debate and develop your own thoughts. Advertiste your business.

Moon hour: Visit your family, seek a new house, take a short trip if you are in mood for ramblings, seek a consult from woman, transfer your things to other place. Do a ritual. Witch’s time!

Before you use planetary hour, you want to consider a planet’s condition first. For example, If the Mars’s condition is ruined, do not buy a kitchen knife otherwise you will have to re-sharping it repeatedly. If the Moon’s condition is ruined, you may be confused and experience negative attitude from people who you visit. I just give you general example, but you get that idea.

Jupiter 0° - 6° : The native feels energetic, robust, prolific, philosophy, merry.

Venus 7° - 12° : The native is friendly, clever, beautiful face, cheerful.

Now, I want to add a bit detail. If Aries rising sign in the bound of the Mars and Mars is being under the beam, It makes the native cunning, conceal plots, or training martial arts in a secret place.

Electional Astrology: Two Part

Quadrant House

• From Ascendant to Midheaven - Quickest result

• From Midheaven to Descendant - Quick result, but a bit slow.

• From Descendant to Imum Coeli - Slow result

• From Imum Coeli to Ascendant - Slowest result

If the Moon is putted in between Ascendant to Midheaven, I will get quickest result. But, if the Moon is in fixed sign, I will expect result will come quick, but not quickest.

Ruler of the House

Ruler of the House is critical to use for electional astrology. Because it guides you to get where you want. For example, Leo rising sign and Sun is in the tenth house. You make so much effort to get recognized. If Venus is in the first house and tenth house is ruled by Taurus, it will deliver you effortlessly. Of course, you have to start first. ( I wrote about Empty House, if you wish to understand the ruler of the house )

If the ruler of the tenth house is afflicted, you try to convince your employer a new idea is good. But, the employer refused to listen.

So, you are going to select a planet. You have to choose a specific planet that matches your goal or plan. For example,

Saturn can used to build a new gate, wells or fences.

Jupiter can used to build a new network, gain a favor from powerful people, or spread a bible verse.

Mars can used to take revenge on oppressor, get things done, or sue someone.

Sun can used to get recognized, gain a favor from powerful people, or spotlight on your own business.

Venus can used to have a good time, make good memory, a party, or have a great time in a bed.

Moon can used to send a letter to emissary, gossip, or buy a new house.

Natal Chart

Natal chart is critical to be paid attention because you want to guide a planet to you directly, not others. For example, transit of Jupiter is entering in your eleventh house. It is good time for you to build a network. But, your friend has transit of Jupiter in the tenth house. It is good time for your friend to build a relationship with an employer so friend can gain a favor from the employee later. Just for example.

Now, you have to check if transit of the malefic planet ( Saturn or Mars ) is hitting one of your luminary, and one of cardinal points ( ASC, MC, DSC, IC ). Because you might not want to bring some troubles or delaying in your plan. For example, you build a perfect plan for wedding day. The wedding day is started. A priest is going to say, “you may-“ then, get interrupted by your ex. You don’t want that, right?

Now, you have to combine electional astrology and natal chart. If you want to master the time, you have to learn how to predict. Because… sometimes, transit doesn’t override the difficult situation. For now, go do some experiments and write your experience on your journal.

Electional Astrology

A man sits on a ground, and waits for a sign. He looks up at heaven and finds the benevolent star in the heaven. He checks his natal chart and see the transit of Jupiter is in the eleventh house of the natal chart. He see an new opportunity for network, community, alliance or even gain a favor from powerful rulers. He is excited to grab the opportunity. He runs to his home and build his plan.

What is electional astrology?

You search a specific planet that can boost you, or get you gain a favor from certain people. For example, Venus is in the tenth house. It is good time to show your arts to world. Or, Sun is in tenth house. It is good time to put yourself there in public and let people see you. That what electional astrology for.

Basic rule for safety. You don’t want to get fried from electional astrology, right?

Ascendant must be not harmed by the malevolent stars (Saturn & Mars)

Moon must be not harmed by the malevolent stars, and combustion

Ascendant and Moon are both beginnings. It means you choose Ascendant to get started with something. For example, Ascendant is seeing the Mars. Beginning of angry, frustration or chaos. Or, ascendant is seeing Venus. Beginning of romance, flirting, or sweet-talking.

Quadruplicity

Cardinal sign - Short term and quick.

Mutable sign - Between short term and long term. Quick and slow.

Fixed sign - long term and slow.

If you choose Aries rising sign, you will gain something quick, but it is not lasting. If you choose Taurus rising sign, you will gain something slow, but it will lasting. For example, you choose Aries rising sign with Venus Aries. You start to flirt with someone and its easy to get started, but a bit later, someone lost interest. If you choose Taurus rising sign with Venus Taurus, you start to flirt with someone. Both of you feel something, but very slow. Over time, both of you feel sparked and desired to each other of you. If you choose Gemini rising sign with Venus Gemini, its easy to get started but will be adjusted again and again. Like you flirt with someone and you get them curious about you. Dominant & Overcome

A planet comes first before other planet. The first planet is being dominant (or, overcome) over the second planet. What does it mean? The first planet influences on the second planet stronger. The second planet does influence too, but the first planet is a bit more emphasized.

For example, Mars dominates over Venus. The Mars acts with ill-intention toward the Venus such as cheating, breaking up, being misogynist, homophobia, or even incel. But, if the Venus dominates Mars, the Venus acts with good intention toward the Mars such as stop fightings, calm angry people, making people work together as unity, find a way to solve a problem, or try to be diplomatic with hostile people.

So, a planet is being dominant over other planet. You can see the dominant planet’s influence is stronger and emphasized.

Let me give you a few examples. The Mars dominates over Venus. I did give you example, but I want to add Jupiter. The Jupiter dominates over the Mars and the Venus. The Jupiter will attempt to tame the rebellious Mars. The Mars’s influence is changed because of Jupiter. So, the Mars’ ill-intention is lessened. Now, the Mars will try to pressure on the Venus, but not try to be violent, or be aggressive. Like the Mars tells the Venus to hurry up to pick a beauty jewellery. Or, the Mars wants to hang out with the Venus now. But, try to maintain being respectful.

Other example, Saturn dominates Mars. The Saturn will attempt to slow down Mars’ impulsive, reckless decision, and action. Also, Saturn will attempt to make Mars feel doubt so Mars can hold action back. If the Mars dominates over Saturn, the Mars will attempt to speed up slow things and pressure things to be fast. The Mars will rid all of doubts and fears.

One more example, Saturn dominates over Jupiter. The Saturn attempts to restrict the freedom, diversity, or growth. The Saturn forces the Jupiter to re-write the law where oppressors can gain so much power. That allows oppressors to power over people. The Saturn forces every human to obey the broken law. If people didn’t follow the law, they will be punished severely. But, if the Jupiter dominates over the Saturn, Jupiter attempts to liberate people from being oppressed. The Jupiter attempts to re-write the law where empower people more than powerful people. The Jupiter promotes people to be librated from sufferings, debts, fears, worries and barriers. People will gain more access to education, affordable house, affordable foods, and go on. Because Jupiter believes in justice, education and liberation.

Suitable condition versus Unsuitable condition

When you see the unsuitable condition in your natal chart, you suspect you are bad person. It is not true at all. Maybe, it indicates you have some challenge in area of your life, but it doesn’t make you bad person automatically.

mercurialore (from TikTok. Search @mercurialore, if you are interested) inspired me to write about unsuitable condition. She used Epstein Jeffrey’s natal chart as example. He has strong placements in his natal chart. He is able to get away with wrongdoings. She is right about his condition.

I want to add thing. He was been involving with powerful people too. He is Capricorn rising sign and his ascendant is ruled by Saturn. Exalted Saturn is found in the tenth house of his natal chart. Exalted Saturn is suitable condition. It allows him to meet powerful people. Like he did interact with Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gate, fake president Donald Trump and even Bill Clinton. All people are well-known because Saturn is being exalted.

So, I want you to remember that natal chart is not always about you, but natal chart can tell you about other people who are in your social circle, or life. For example, you find out that Saturn is being in exiled and don’t be freak out. Possible, you will be offered work from far away. Or, you will work with powerful person with disability, long illness or even the powerful person is being making fun of. Unfortunately, I wish I could explain everything in this post. But, for now. You want to remember the natal chart is not always about you.

Mitigation

Mitigation means the severe planet is being eased by the suitable condition.

When you find out your Saturn is not in own house (domicile), somehow your experience seems somewhat okay. Perhaps, your Saturn is being in bound of Saturn and day sect? Or, Saturn receives the mutual reception?

Saturn’s condition is better when its in the day sect. If the Saturn is in the night sect, it ruins the condition. Remember, this is general example. If the Saturn gains + 5 points while being in the night sect, the native manages it better and still have some struggle. Let me tell you a secret. You should check the revolution if the revolution Jupiter is casting a ray to one of your natal planets. It will improve your natal planet. Obviously, you have to asses the revolution Jupiter’s condition first. Also, you can check the profection planet is casting a ray to one of your planets.

For example, if the natal Saturn is problem, the revolution Jupiter is casting a ray to the natal Saturn by trine aspect. It improves the natal Saturn for a year. As long as revolution Jupiter’s condition is strong and suitable.

The native wonders why the native haven’t get richer, or luxury things. When the natal Jupiter is activated, the native gets richer suddenly. Or, the native gets a new job quickly.

Most of a planets are not activated all the time. Most of us desire something that comes quickly. *slams on a table* WE DEMAND IT NOW! “No, lol” a planet said.

If you look at the Saturn Aquarius in the eleventh house, you wonder why you haven’t get a loyal friend. Fast forward to a few years later, you get a loyal friend. First question is, “Why now? Why not can I get a friend a few years ago?”. *slams on the table* WE DEMAND ANSWER NOW! “… chill… I will answer…” the Saturn sighs.

The first house is ruled by Sun, the eleventh house and the second house are ruled by Mercury, the fourth house and the ninth house are ruled by Mars, the third house and the tenth house are ruled by Venus.
