Summary: Your confidence and inability to be embarrassed about trivial things makes Kylian rethink his view on his life.

âIf youâre asking me out on another date, weâre actually going somewhere. Not inside your house.â
Your words replayed in Kylianâs head as he stared at himself in the mirror. He dreaded the idea of the nightâpaparazzi and the flashing lights, all the people that he knew would be in his business and making endless rumors he knew he wouldnât be able to address, and obsessive fans that he couldnât run away from. The only thing that brought him comfort was that youâd be by his side, but it only became another downside as he remembered that heâd protect you from all the stressors of the night that was soon to come.
Kylian could feel the stress piling down on his shoulders, trying to shrug it off, but nothing was more powerful than the perfectionist that lived inside of him. He wanted things to go perfectly with you, somehow getting lucky enough to score as second date as he was sure that you werenât going to accept another, but he was sorely surprised when you brought it up on your own.
He couldnât say he didnât know what it was about you that drew him in.
It wouldâve been a lie.
Beyond the fact that he was completely mesmerized the first time he saw you, it was that everything he assumed about you was wrong. You were spunky, and although you could be sweet, he loved the tangy spice of yours that was second nature with your quick wit. It almost hurt his ego when you told him that you hadnât had a clue who he was, but the soft smirk of yours that followed afterwards was like a bandage.
âHow.. Youâve never heard of Kylian Mbappe?.. Or Paris Saint-Germain?â His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, completely lost at how youâd been residing in France for a few years now and still hadnât heard his name running through the Parisian streets.
You smirked, your eyebrow raising as you swirled your straw in your drink, finding his reaction quite humorous. âAm I supposed to know you?â
Kylian thought about it for a moment before shaking his head, feeling his anxieties burn away as his drink trickled down his throat with a fire. âNo.â He breathed, feeling oddly relaxed for once.
He couldnât get you off of his mind, and the stress of his made a continuous appearance, that had only increased when the flashing lights and shouts had brought him back to reality. âMerde,â Kylian murmured to himself, exiting the taxi that had given him a ride to the destination youâd given him. He didnât know how the paparazzi found him, but the night was beginning to turn for the worst for him just as he thoughtânow heâd have to make sure they didnât ruin anything.
It was almost as if every step he took closer to where he was supposed to meet you that the paparazzi was on his trail. Flashing lights and nonstop clicking of the cameras while questions in multiple languages were thrown at Kylian. He could feel the scowl growing on his face, trying to relax himself and think of you, but that only made him feel even more nervous.
The beating of his heart slowed when he finally made it inside the restaurant and met your gaze, walking towards you and quickly grabbing your hand, searching for the table furthest away from outdoors sight. He sighed in relief when he located the booth of his choice, letting you sit down first before he sat.
âYou didnât tell me you were bringing friends.â You teased, the smile on your lips growing when he finally grinned.
Kylianâs cheeks flushed slightly, shaking his head as he looked down for a moment before looking up at you again. He took in your beauty, palms growing sweaty as he couldnât believe he was in your presence againâfeeling as if he was the luckiest man in the room, just the two of you without interruptions like he wanted.
âYou look beautiful tonight, chĂŠrie.â Kylian marveled as he unintentionally changed the subject, the blush that spread across the apples of your cheeks not going unnoticed to him. He looked around, eyes darting across the restaurant and he felt as if he could breathe for a secondâquiet music that played while the karaoke machine was being set up as others were in their own world. âHow did you find this place?â
âWell, the internet, for one,â You quipped while Kylian rolled his eyes playfully in response. âBut, I just thought we could have some fun that didnât included watching Netflix at your house.. and I was right âcause youâve been super tense this whole time.â
He quietly agreed, but he could feel how tense he was dispersing, albeit slowly. His mouth opened, but quickly shut when you had cut him off. âSo, weâre gonna have fun, and youâre gonna do karaoke with me.â You stated, getting up while Kylian shook his head quickly, disagreeing.
You paid no attention though, not noticing how his hands quickly fell into his face. The last thing he wanted was for any attention to be placed on him or youâknowing that anyone would do anything for a check even if it was just a simple photo of him sitting down. Though, as he watched you get up on the small stage and heard the first notes of the song you chose play, he could only hope that you didnât get laughed off the stage.
While Kylian thought you were perfect, he couldnât believe how you danced around the stage without a careâwhether you were good or bad, it didnât matter to youâyou continued to dance and fumble over the lyrics, almost stumbling over your feet as you laughed along with the crowd of people, who still didnât pay him any mind. He stood up slowly, trying his best to blend in with the crowd as his hands began to clap along with you, but he couldnât stop the awkward confusion he felt being here with you.
He watched as you walked off the stage like nothing, a smile etched on your face as your eyes twinkled. He couldnât help but return your smile, though it didnât quite meet his eyes just yet. âHow did you do that?â
Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion as the two of you stood near your booth again. âDo what?â You asked, taking a sip of your drink that youâd gotten from the bar after you left the stage.
The corner of Kylianâs lip curled at your confusion, biting his bottom lip gently as he stood there dumbfounded. âHow did you.. just go on the stage and sing like that.. not worrying about whether they were going to laugh at you or say something bad?â
He looked at you in shock when you began to laugh, covering your mouth at the unexpected question.
âWhy should I care if theyâre laughing at me?â You answered truthfully, another laugh escaping. âTheyâre laughing at me having fun, well, so am I.â
âYou donât care?â
You shrugged, taking another sip of your drink as you looked him in the eyes. âI donât know who any of these people are, probably wonât even remember them tomorrow either. Caring about who laughed at me tonight when thereâs still tomorrow to come is way too much energy to waste, Ky.â
Kylian tried to ignore the nickname youâd given him on a whim right now, but his cheeks still flushed as he looked down coyly. Your words stuck in his mind though, a thought process that heâd heard others around him try to preach before him; though it was always lost to him, breaking down privately to the pressure of being far too well-known in the world now.
Heâd forgotten how to have fun, when it was time to be off the pitch, and while being around someone like you who wasnât famous (which he was thankful for). The normalcy the younger version of him had been craving was in front of him all along, and all he could worry about was this not being some photo-op, when he couldâve been having fun instead of being too tense like you had mentioned earlier.
âYou okay?â You asked, nudging him with concern. He looked at you, noticing how soft your eyes had gotten, and it made his legs buckle almost at how much you caredâsomething he knew you couldnât fake, no matter how much of a hard time youâd give him with your playfully sarcastic demeanor. He nodded, taking your hand in his, while his other hand took your drink and he took a hearty swig of it, leaving you to marvel in surprise this time.
Kylian smiled and squeezed your hand; to make sure that you hadnât pulled away, but to also make sure that this was real. âIâm perfect, mon amour.â He said this time, wanting to hear himself. âDo you want to sing again.. with me?â
You pursed your lips to act as if you were thinking about it, but couldnât stop the smile that followed right after. With a nod, your hand stayed in his, but before either of you could walk towards the stage, your other hand fell onto his cheek as you pulled him in for a kiss. Your lips pressed against each otherâs with a passion that was unmatched, one that the both of you had been craving and needing the entire night, to bring each other back down to earth.
And when you pulled away, Kylian didnât bother to look up to see if anyone had saw the intimate moment shared. He didnât care. All he saw was you, and that was enough to put his head back on his shoulders, to see what really mattered all along.
Summary: Being in your room for the first time makes Pedri realize how your relationship is changing.
This is my first time writing for Pedri, as well as writing in a longggg while. Enjoy. :)
I do not own this gif, full credit to creator.
Pedri stood outside of the doorway, watching you get comfortable in your own room while he shifted from side to side on his feet. His hands twitched with anxiousness and he could feel the slick sweat begin to moisten in between the space of his fingers. He had never been in your room before, only dating you for a few months now and because of the strictness of your parents, heâd only now been granted access to the upstairs of your home.
He hadnât moved a muscle, not even when you noticed. âAre you sure this is okay?â Pedri mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck as he tried to act nonchalant, hoping that you could feel the calm and collected exterior he was trying to fake.
Unfortunately for him, you already knew him like the back of your hand.
âPedri,â You laughed softly with a shake of your head. âOf course, itâs okay. Entra, por favor.â
Pedri couldnât stop the noise of discomfort that rose from the back of his throat, as quiet as it was, while he slowly walked into the room. His eyes didnât meet yours yet, instead focusing on the room that heâd only seen few bits and pieces of in the selfies youâd send him. He looked aroundâtrinkets of your favorite interests tastefully decorated, photos and posters taped around the room, and perfectly painted walls of your favorite color that just made sense to him.
His eyes finally met yours, his lips curling upward as he tried to emulate your smile, but he was far too overcome with bashfulness to meet you half way. He sat down beside you on your bed, after you had patted the spot next to you, with his hands planted on his lap as he looked anywhere but you. âI, um,â Pedri stumbled over his words slightly, a quiet laugh escaping his lips to ease how fidgety he felt now. âMe gusta tu habitaciĂłn.â
You murmured a gentle âthank youâ, now concerned about his coy disposition. Your index finger tucked underneath his chin as you turned his head to face you; his brown eyes were soft, but his teeth gnawed at his bottom lip, a habit that he couldnât kick when he was nervous. âÂżQuĂŠ pasa, cariĂąo?â You asked, brows furrowing as your lips flipped into a worried frown.
Pedri shrugged, unable to find to words, though they danced along his tongue. He was nervous and he knew he was being painfully awkwardâsomething the sweat on his hands wouldnât let him forget. He couldnât stop the quick beats of his heart, something heâd only feel when he ran along the pitch, but also when he looked at you. You made his heart beat dangerously fast and being so close to you, in your safe space that heâs never been in, had only made him realize how serious the relationship was getting.
It was scary, but so exciting to be in love.
He knew this, recounting all the advice his father gave him of âknowing when youâre with the oneâ in his head, but he couldnât stop feeling how shot his nerves were.
He couldnât mess things up, not with you.
âTengo miedo.â Pedri sighed, quickly mumbling about how stupid he felt after. He shook his head, trying to remove your index from underneath his chin, but you didnât budgeâforcing him to look at you. He resisted for a moment, not wanting to expose how vulnerable he felt, but the knowing look in your eyes was something he couldnât ignore, no matter how hard he tried.
It didnât make it any easier when you began to quietly encourage him, letting him know that it was okay for him to speak when he was ready, and that you wanted to listen to him.
âI love you.â He spoke, breath hitching as his body trembled. He repeated it again, clearly this time, fiercely and matter-of-factly as it was the second time heâs ever uttered those three words to you. âTe quiero mucho. Being in your room.. it..it makes me realize how serious our relationship has gotten and Iâm scared that things will..fall apart or will mess up after all of this, and I donât want that to happen because I love you.â
You released a puff of air that you didnât even notice you were holding in; such release when you finally breathed again, smiling at Pedri as you brushed some of his hair on his forehead away softly with your fingertips. He returned the grin, his soft and embarrassed-like, unable to hide the blush that crept along the apples of his cheeks. âYou donât need to worry about that, mi amor, I promise.â You reassured him while your hand fell into his, interlocking them. âNo matter what happens, you never need to worry about us. I love you too, Pedri. Weâre okay.â
âÂżPromes?â He asked, sticking out his pinky finger in front of you. Your pinky interlocking with his sealed the deal enough for him, making him sign in relief, but the reassurance of your lips pressing against his finger had made him realize he was in his head and just needed you to talk him down, like you always did. He leaned in, both of your lips inches away before he pressed a soft kiss against your lips, taking your breath away.
âPromise.â You murmured against his lips, shivers running down your spine as your mouths moved with passion, as if it were only the two of you on the planet. A tender moment that both of you needed most.
the thing is yeah mbappe shouldnt have said that about south american football, it was wrong and there's no denying that. but two wrongs dont make a right either. the way he's being targeted and treated not only by the fans but some players as well is fucking vile.
Summary: Although your relationship with Christian was fairly new, you didnât want to go a single moment without letting him know how much you care about him.
testing the waters with posting fics on here, just want to see how it goes! so, if you enjoy, thank you :).
I do not own this gif.
âNo, that doesnât look right.â You murmured, sighing in frustration quietly as you tried to rearrange the pillows and blankets that you gathered on the floor.
The lights were shut off, with the only source of brightness coming from the scented candles that you had finally lit, filling the room with an incomparable ambiance that youâd hope would relax Christian and ease him into being back home after the World Cup. He informed you hours prior that his flight would landing soon, and though he didnât let you know when heâd be home, you had a hunch that it was any time now, leaving you to worry about the presentation of your surprise.
The pillows and blankets you took from upstairs now laid neatly on the wood floor, as you create your own version of fort, seeing that you were pressed for time. Beyond the scent of the candle followed the dinner that sat on the stove, cooking on low heat, but you could smell the spices even in the living room. You grabbed the remote, quickly opening the Disney+ app on the television, and searched for the only movie that you couldnât get Christian to not talk about any hour of the day.
Despite the fact that the two of you had only been dating for three months, it felt longer. Even though the distance liked to interfere, Christian never stopped it from getting in the middle of your relationship, and in all that time, it only brought you closer. He was an open book, the kind to bare it all with nothing to hide, and you found out more about him than you thought you would; beyond how he liked to sleep, but the little things that could turn his day around in an instant if he was unhappy, what made him tick, but also what made him feel loved.
Once you had gotten the living room set up, a smile tugged at your lips, relieved that the stressful part was over. Just as you had finished setting the plates, carefully portioning his plate to his liking as you remembered, and set them down onto the coffee table, you could hear the key to his front door being inserted and the locks shifting. You quickly rubbed your hands off on your pants before walking to the door as fast as you could, wanting him to see you first before anything else.
The front door opened, and the smile on your face never faltered, only growing larger as you were finally face-to-face with him. Christian didnât skip a beat, quickly pulling you into his arms as he murmured about how much he missed you. His hands laid at the small of your back, nose nuzzling against yours before his lips fell onto your lips, moving passionately.
âI missed you so much.â Christian breathed against your lips, his lips pressing another soft peck onto yours before pulling away to look at you. âYou look beautiful, baby.â
He smiled at how coy you reacted, your head falling into his chest. âStop making me blush.â You muffled against his sweater. His index finger tucked underneath your chin, lifting your head up just to shake his head at you, mouthing a clear ânoâ.
The two of you walked further into his home, only until he stopped in his tracks at the sight of the living room, looking back at you then back after noticing what you had done. âSurprise!â You beamed, the grin on your face larger than the last as you took his hand in yours.
âYou did this for me?â Christian questioned in shock, taking slow steps forward as he looked at the blankets and pillows on the ground, the delicious home cooked meal that he couldnât wait to scarf down, and the Monsterâs Inc. movie that was waiting for him to press play on. With only a nod from you, he couldnât resist pulling you into his arms again, a loving embrace this time. Soft thank youâs emitting from his lips over and over again, and you could feel the tension release from his body the more you held him.
You pulled away from him, your thumb rubbing against his cheekbone as you felt that twist of admiration in your stomach that you always did whenever you looked at him. Your nod was soft, as were your eyes that he was always utterly mesmerized from. âYou deserved to come back home to something special, Chris.â You softly said, almost as if it was no big deal, knowing that he deserved to be treated like this always and how much things like this meant to him. The three letter words danced around your tongue, too soon to say it, but you hoped that he felt it.
You guided him to the ground, beckoning him to press him play so the two of you could eat, but he was still in disbelief. You lightly pressed a kiss on his cheek, unable to contain the quiet laughter that released from your lips as you pressed play for him. Even as he ate and watched the movie, even as he settled down with his back against the couch and his tattooed arm around you, all he could do is look down at you with loving eyesâthose three letter words hammering in his head this time again, more than youâll ever know.
