one thing everyone who is struggling with cooking for themselves needs to know is that the shittiest rice cooker, like the ones that cost $5 at rite aid, can make entire meals. you can put anything you want (except uncooked meats that need prolonged temperatures to be safe to eat) in with the rice and push the button and go lie down for 20 minutes. you will learn through making slightly over or undercooked rice a few times how you need to adjust the liquid:rice ratios. you can put rice, a bag of baby carrots, whatever salt and spices, and a can of tuna (or a can of shredded chicken, beef, etc, or tofu, or canned beans, or canned tomatoes) in a rice cooker and it will be completely edible in ~20min. it costs like $1 per batch, less if you get regular carrots and cut them into chunks yourself. you should have frozen spinach and peas and corn in your freezer, or whatever frozen veg is safe for your food allergies. this kind of meal can survive in the fridge for a while and the freezer even longer. if you make it badly it wont poison you and can be salvaged with hot sauce, if you make it disastrously it can be thrown away without losing more than a dollar or two. if you make it okay it fullfills the Just Need Some Real Food requirements completely. if you need more calories you can add butter or oil, or eat sour cream on the side. if you forget about the rice cooker or fall asleep it will dry out on the bottom but wont burn. they should teach you this in 5th grade

A man who preached bigotry, hatred, transphobia, racism, homophobia, pedophilia, xenophobia, misogyny and all kinds of fucked up things is someone I cannot have sympathy towards. I could care less if i get labeled a cruel heartless person because you all didn't care when families were being ripped apart by ICE agents too cowardly to show their actual faces, you all didn't care when innocent people were being terrorized, tortured and killed by a power hungry country , you all didn't care when gen z fought back against a corrupt government and were shot dead, you all didn't care when our kids were going to school afraid for their safety, you all didn't care when millions of people in Sudan were in need of humanitarian help and weren't getting it. You never cared about the people of color being killed for their color and "suspicious behavior", you never cared when transgender people were being killed simply for being transgender, you didn't care when women had to resort to unsafe methods to try to give themselves an abortion, you never cared when speaking another language became a reason to be detained. You probably made jokes about these situations not understanding that this is someone's reality. Kirk himself has said that gun violence was a downside of us having our 2nd amendment. He died by the system he so fiercely protected. Kirk has also made so many bigoted statements i cannot fit them into this post but simply watch one of his debates or his podcast.

My sympathy only extends to his children and wife who had to watch their father/husband be brutally executed publicly and have to now live without their father and sleep in a bed alone without a husband.

That being said.

I do not in anyway support how he died or the fact that he died by sniper shot. Shooting someone for rightfully using their 1st amendment regardless of if you agree isn't right. Nobody gets the right to decide when your life ends. America NEEDS stricter gun laws and i hope the killer gets caught and gets sentenced rightfully so.

Hello :)

A lot has been going on in my life these past few months but its getting better! Due to reasons I've moved houses and while that was extremely stressful, I think it worked out for the better. I've been eating more and healthier, getting back into my hobbies, and overall just happier.

I'm in class while writing this so i don't have anything studywise to post but I'll share some of the food I've been eating for anyone interested :)

It's been a while since I last opened this app so I hope everyone has been doing well with their studies!

I did well on my Statistics exam a couple of weeks ago so I am very happy about that :). I do have a lab report I need to start and complete soon so I can send a draft to my professor and hopefully submit it early.

I had stats this morning but I was so tired during the before-class studies that I barely understood what was going on (⋟﹏⋞)

I started my essay for another class today and plan to continue working on it tomorrow before work (and maybe tonight when I get home?). It's not too difficult but I’ve always struggled with getting assignments done so I've started early.

We have one week off for Christmas next week so I'm hoping to get a lot of work done but I excel at procrastinating so who knows what will happen? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Today, I came to uni after I finished work this morning to study for my statistics exam this Thursday.

I didn’t get too much done but I feel pretty confident that I’ll pass so I’m not too stressed!

I also need to work on an assignment that’s due Friday morning but I’m having trouble with a certain part so I’ve just been procrastinating for the past week ╮(╯_╰)╭

Good morning!

Today, I’ll be doing some preparation study for my stats class tomorrow until I have another class this afternoon.

I might work on my assignment as well but I’m not too sure yet.

For breakfast, I had an iced strawberry mocha on oat milk, blueberry danish and a custard-filled bun :)

I don't feel great this morning because I'm about to get my period, but hopefully, that changes soon, and I can get a good amount of work done today

My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. She has to take her insulin medication along with many others; however, she has run out of many of her medications.” Am on my knees requesting for donation. Target $450
