So modern Desmos has actions and the ticker feature. They're fantastic to have because they let you update existing variables, and was the feature that made simulations possible.
... except not really. In fact, we used to be able to update variables LONG BEFORE these features were a thing.
This is regression hacking! A bug exploit that updates variables by forcing a circular definition as a very bodged and, well, "hacky" workaround.
Here's a triple pendulum simulation using it, implemented via a 4th order Runge-Kutta solver.

Recamán's first sequence: for each iteration n, check if, starting from the previous iteration, whether you can jump backwards by n. If the new number is not already in the sequence, and it isn't negative, then do that. Otherwise, jump forwards by n.
