"Cait never really smiles unless he's with Sam."
LOL
”There is one very critical key element missing from Blood Of My Blood that Outlander had…” Which is? OL started strong but didn’t stay there. Don’t know where this info came from but still holding hope someone gives us that no fucks left tell all eventually.
To me the critical element missing if you compare both season ones is writing.
Oh that was posted on Reddit by an insider working on the show.
He/she didnt say what "it" was, left it at anons exact quote unless she/he went back to the thread yesterday after I checked it out.
Funny thing is, BOMB made me miss OL so much so that I've been fastforward rewatching it and, some scenes and episodes still piss me off as much as they did when I first saw them. Cant believe how they turned original Jamie into a total and complete simpleminded fool. How they mess print show reunion with the fucking spectacles and his non reaction to learning of Bree, how Claire almost didt bait an eyelash at finding out about William and again how soapopery was the episode where Laogharie comes back and Claire finds out they are married. The shooting part played out in a truly pathetic way. Just as pathetic at the way they have Claire all mad wanting to run away straight to her time to Claire just changing her mind and staying, without much developement. Before you tell me they dont have time with few episodes and much to tell.... they had a whole fucking hour of an illness in a boat.
OL staff turned experts at making nothing of big key moments rushing through them and then having another full hour of Claire stranded in a island with two nuts, the coco one and the talking one.
I'm really enjoying Blood of my Blood, but I think that's because there are no books for anyone to compare it to, and Henry and Julia's story is the big unknown, and no Diana bullshit (I know she's involved, but she's not whinging about anything that I've see).
Lol I was bored, so I was searching for random things when I saw a shipper comment about Tony disappearing from Caitriona's life (like they do every time they don't see him for a while only for him to pop up again because HE'S HER HUSBAND), and he's been added to all the companies she registered—even those that were previously just her.
So nah.
Are we taking bets on how long Outlander shippers have theories about the leads of Blood of my Blood being secretly together?
We have our Marianne.
Good news has arrived for Jane Austen fans. The author’s classic novel, Sense and Sensibility, is returning to the big screen. (The book was previously made into the Oscar-winning 1995 film starring Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet.) Here’s everything we know about the remake.
Sense and Sensibility follows the three Dashwood sisters and their mother, now a widow, in 18th-century England. The family is forced to leave their lavish Sussex family estate and move in with a distant relative who lives in a quaint cottage. There, the two eldest sisters, Elinor and Marianne, begin contrasting journeys of love and loss.
ELLE’s April 2025 cover star Daisy Edgar-Jones is set to lead the film. She’ll play Elinor Dashwood, the eldest sister of the three siblings.
In her cover story, Edgar-Jones spoke about the importance of playing layered characters. “It’s great that more and more stories are being made with women front and center,” she said. “It’s also an interesting thing, being a woman in your 20s, wanting to find characters who are not always ingenues. You want to find characters with agency. I want every character I play to be complicated and deep and have layers to them, because that’s what it is to be human. I feel lucky that a lot of the characters I’ve played have had that. They aren’t defined by their actions or their experiences, or by the men in their life.”
Edgar-Jones celebrated the Sense and Sensibility news on Instagram in a photo posted today that shows her holding the book. She wrote a simple caption, “👀.”
On July 11, Deadline reported that Esmé Creed-Miles has been cast as Marianne Dashwood, Elinor’s emotional and impulsive sister. Miles shared an Instagram post celebrating the big news with shots of the book and her script side-by-side with Edgar Jones’s.
Today the rest of the cast is announced:
welcome Caitríona Balfe as Mrs. Dashwood, Frank Dillane as John Willoughby, George MacKay as Edward Ferrars, Herbert Nordrum as Colonel Brandon, Bodhi Rae Breathnach as Margaret Dashwood, and Fiona Shaw as Mrs. Jennings to the cast of Sense and Sensibility, directed by Georgia Oakley. (from focus features instagram)
The Sense and Sensibility remake will be brought to you by Focus Features and Working Title Films. Georgia Oakley (Blue Jean) will direct, and the bestselling author Diana Reid (Love & Virtue) will write the screenplay.
According to Reid, filming begins next month.
Not yet, though according to Focus Features, “it’s coming soon.”
Nice cast!!! On the other hand, playing the "mom" role rather than the main love interest makes me utterly aware of how time flies for all of us.
Kind of "oh wow" and then "oh fuck" moment.
I really love this. And I think embracing these types of roles will go a long way for her.
I also think that shippers have destroyed any chance of seeing her on screen with Sam ever again once the last season of Outlander is out there. Not that it bothers me because I really enjoyed the on screen chemistry she had with both Christian Bale (that car scene was amazing) and Jamie Dornan. I haven't seen The Amateur yet, and I want to see The Cut. And as a NZer I'm really looking forward to seeing her in Tenzing opposite Tom Hiddleston.
Loving that shippers think that video was staged to fuck with them when it was really just a group of friends celebrating a wedding. If that's not a sign that Cait is just getting on with her life with her real life husband, I don't know what is.

But hey!! Shippers said they never touched in public while the cameras were on them!!

Happy slap a shipper whatever day it is where you are. 😂
They're all happy birthday to imaginary child, while Caitriona and her real life husband attend the wedding of her co-star. While her other co-stars including her tv husband also attend.
Hahaha this is delusional AF.
She's still married to him and not the dude she's on the tv show with. Once the last season is over, there's no more promo they need to do. She'll still be seen with her real husband at events as she's the one getting the parts that get her nominated for awards. He'll still be somewhere hocking his booze.

No presence? No diamond & sapphire ring? No problem. 😉
Remember… her husband is her biggest fan. 👏🏻
WHICH husband????? ........hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The one she's legally married to—you know with the legal marriage certificate. Not the TV one. Hope that helps.
Remember when Sam did this on Caitriona's Instagram and shippers got all excited because they thought it was some kind of confession? lmao
The real couple with their real son were seen at Wookey Hole Caves in Somerset days before Christmas. It was shared in a FB fan group by the woman who saw them and spoke to Caitriona. Shippers know about it.
Really?? Well some thoughts:
1) no way to know if it's true or not cause I don't have sources anymore once I kicked my own ass off those shipper FB groups that hid Tait evidence and lied to others.
2) Point one makes me lean towards anon speaking the truth
3) Real sightings of real people in real situations tend to be more possible than sightings of made up kids in made up marriages.
I found it https://www.facebook.com/groups/1174927186366625/posts/1893122967880373/ And then it turned into a shitshow because people whinged that she called her Claire. Who really cares? They knew what she meant.
Love how shippers are sharing gifs of the promo shoot the cast did and pretending that Sam and Caitriona are actually flirting. They've still got a show to sell. Buckle up, it's gonna be a bumpy ride when it's done and they no longer have to pretend in order to sell that show.
It's coming. Literally.

SPOILERS, I guess.
So real question here 😂
I stopped reading the books mid book 5 because it’s the longest most boring thing I have ever encountered. I stopped watching the show after season 4 because it was baaaaad but I guess I am still curious about stuff.
What is the justification in the books for Lord John and Claire needing to have sex? I get the marrying her to protect her but what did D give as an explanation in the book for this happening? I remember that Claire’s marriage to Jamie needed to be consummated to be considered valid but they could have totally faked it had they wanted to. So why not fake it this time? Who is gonna come checking?
Wondering minds want to know.
Also, when Jamie shows up, how does he react? My guess is he won’t be too happy.
MORE SPOILERS!!!!
well, it's been ages since I read that so I'm sorry @loveisloveislove76 if my own mind has been making up its own stuff to make it work but, from what I think I remember:
they were both drunk and horny and thought they were fucking Jamie instead of the other. Mutual consolation.
As for Jamie, I can't recall if he gets mad just because of the marriage or when he finds out they had sex but obviously he freaks out and tries to kill LJ.
Spoilers continue…
Lord John and Claire didn’t need to have sex. In the book, they both got completely wasted and ended up f*cking while mourning Jamie together. The fun continued the next morning when Claire gave John a hand job. She declined his offer of reciprocation. @its-moopoint has that right.
In the books, btw, Claire and Frank never stopped having sex and had a reasonably decent marriage. So, Claire never went twenty years without and she was frequently the one who initiated it. She’s more free with her body in the books, in general.
Anyway, John knows Claire well enough that he realizes she will tell Jamie about the sex. Then he worries that Jamie will take his anger out on Claire. Which, he might have done because book Jamie is incredibly jealous. But, we don’t get to find that out because John purposely tries to make Jamie angry about it by flat out telling him he had carnal knowledge of Claire. It didn’t go according to plan and Jamie ended up asking a bunch of leading questions until John says “we were both f*cking you”. That is what enrages Jamie to the point of him nearly beating John to death.
Basically, Jamie assumes that because they were thinking of him, John hurt Claire because Jamie’s baseline for that is BJR. It comes across as homophobic, imo. Jamie continues to hold a grudge against John that hasn’t been resolved as of the end of Bees.
Oh yes @hereprettykitty I thought there was some kind of "-job" involved there. I had forgotten the specifics though.
In my opinion they'll take it from the drunken mistake point and won't be too graphic.
They look really good together in these photos
Ha. I'm sure the shippers all thought Sam and Graham had some big falling out, but here's Graham cheering Sam on. It's almost like you can't tell anything from the teeny glimpses you see of their lives on social media.
Hello!!
One day less to watch Claire and John Grey fuck Jamie together without Jamie!
I'm so far behind, but I might make the effort to watch that episode.
I saw a conversation online between a shipper and someone pointing out their dumb conspiracy theories and it featured the shipper saying that Caitriona's marriage certificate was "proven fake" because there wasn't a copy at Somerset House.
I hadn't seen that particular line, so I googled it and while Somerset House used to hold the birth, death, and marriage records, it hasn't since 1970. So yeah, shippers using info from over 50 years ago to pretend that there's not a legal marriage certificate for Cait and Tony. So lol
