shrugging, she put her things into her bag and stood up. “ if i die though, it’s on you.” she slipped off her shorts and t-shirt and put them into her bag.

“Eh. Who knows if i’m even going to want to keep it?” He joked, his shoulders lifting in a shrug as he looked at her. “I don’t think i got your name though? I’m Eric.” He said, feeling the need to introduce himself. Nodding, he let out a small sigh. “I guess you’re right. I feel like you’re one of those people who likes the movies better than the books so i don’t know, i shouldn’t question your ways to read a book.” He said, only half-joking. 

“ i know you’ll wanna keep it.” she placed a hand in the sand in between her and the boy, running her fingers along and through it as she played with it gently. “ aria. and do i look like an idiot? movies before books is a sin. but then when i read a book then see the movie i get more disappointed when they miss things out.” she arched a brow, to her own confusion. why was she confessing the most random things.

       “how about you pick the people then? you must know better than i.” katrina suggested. “i can make booze appear easily.”

“ i’m just as clueless as you, i’ve only been here about four days.” she girl still rummaged through her bag, pulling out her pad and pencil case as she set them down. “ if you say so.”

       “ i see no difference but whatever.” kat shrugged. “i have no doubt that we’ll be able to ‘convince’ some people to join us.”

“ depends on the people, not everyones great company you know.” she lifted her bag onto her lap as she began to rummage, unsure of what she was actually looking for. “ plus i really want a cocktail.”

Khloe was on her way back to the house she was currently living in, muttering a few lyrics that had popped to her mind while she’d been strolling along the beach, trying her best not to forget them until she’d get the chance to write them down on paper. She hated herself for currently not having the phone the producers had given her with her. However her thoughts and her muttering that sounded like a mantra were interrupted by someone else. Quickly glancing at the other she sighed and gave her an apologetic smile. “Yes, I am. I just had a great idea for the bridge of a song and I kept repeating it so I won’t forget it until I found some paper and a pencil.” The brunette explained herself.

listening to the girl talk, she figured it was just another wannabe singer. the thought of her getting her heart broken on americas got talent or some sort of tv talent show crossed her mind, as she let out a faint laugh. pulling out her diary, she flipped it far enough in that she couldn’t see anything inside. handing it over with a pen she shrugged. “ just remember me if you ever get famous, i think that’s fair.” she then dropped her hands to her lap. “ what kind of music do you sing?”

       “no way, really? who would have thought?” kat rolled her eyes. “it’s called being spontaneous, you’re not always gonna be ready for everything sometimes you just go with the flow.” she shrugged. “ouch, that really hurt my ego. but i don’t know… maybe for fun?” she asked sarcastically.

“ honestly, hun. there’s a difference between being spontaneous and randomly deciding to jump into a pool naked with a stranger.” sitting down on one of the nearby sun loungers, she took a gulp of her water. “ skinny dipping is for groups really.”

“That easily? Nice, thought i’d have to come with a few more compliments for that.” He joked, a grin held on his lips as he watched the brunette. “I agree, i agree. I have been paying attention to that lately.” He commented, part of the reason why he liked the whole beach setting so much, but that he didn’t need to say. “Eh, that’s not always a rule. Most of the time the ending suck and the development of the story is amazing so if you read the bad ending first you’ll think the book is also bad and you’ll be missing out. Makes sense?” 

“ i said you have it.” her eyes rolled. “ doesn’t mean you get to keep it, yet.” she mirrored his expressions, a grin now on her face. listening to him ramble slightly she simply shrugged. “ i do understand, but i mean. each to their own really. i don’t do it with all books, just singulars. if its part of a trilogy then obviously it’s so wrong to read the end. kinda makes me wanna do it more though.”

she was laying on her stomach on a blanket in the sand, the book she had been reading off to the side her sunglasses sitting ontop of them. this was her safe haven, her relaxation. with her head resting against her arms her eyes closed, finding peace in everything surrounding her, well that was until a shadow fell over her, causing a groan but she still kept her eyes closed, “can a girl have peace on the beach for once in her life?”

after what felt like hours of trying to decide what to do, aria decided to head down to the beach. maybe sit and read, listen to music or just write- she still hadn’t decided so just began to walk. after a few minutes of her walking she retrieved her sunglasses from her bag and placed them onto her eyes. hearing a murmur beside her, an obnoxious laugh fell from her lips. “ it’s a fucking beach, take a look around i’m not the only other person here. don’t cry princess.”

       “you never swim in your clothes before? or without them?” kat questioned.

scoffing, the girl turned to get a better view of the person she was talking to. “ why would anyone want to swim in clothes, they get heavy when wet- you know? and do tell me why i’d wanna go skinny dipping in the middle of the day with a stranger? i mean you are hot but not that hot.”

       katrina was enjoying the sunny day in the pool at her house. though she was getting quite lonely she called upon the first person to pass her. “care to join me for a swim?”

the girls eyes glancing down at her outfit - which consisted of a cropped t-shirt and a pair of ripped jeans with vans- she shook her head. “ does it look like i’m ready to swim?”

His lips fell into a frown, blue eyed gaze flickering between the girl and their surroundings. For a second he needed to make sure she was actually speaking to him, but of course she was. Who else was just ready to jump off the sand in that instance. “Did it look like I was dancing?” He parroted back with some sort of rhetorical question. 

a scoff escaping between her lips, she shook her head to retaliate. “ well seemed like you were doing some sort of dance on hot lava- well in this case, sand.” she ran her hand over it. “ it’s not even that hot, to be honest.”

“I do that, especially when they look like models and everything.” He explained as tough it was actually something he did, but kept a small smile on his lips as he turned his head to look at her. “I’d say that there’s not even a reason to start reading the book in the first place then, all endings suck.” He shrugged. “Plus, if you already know what’s going to happen then why would even care about the development?” He questioned her, crossing his legs underneath him. 

her head tilting to one side- a smirk present, she turned to face the boy. “ you’ve got my attention.” leaning one arm back onto the sand she turned slightly onto her side to completely face him. “ i mean any girl in a bikini can look like a model- can i just add.” she paused. “ but with the book, cause if the endings good you know the book will be better, and how did they get to the ending? read it to find out.’

a good question, yet not one he had an answer to; having spent the previous evening wandering off the path as opposed to actually sticking on one that was straight. he did, however, remember the view of the mansion to their backs quite clearly when he’d realized it was missing; estimating with the angle and shade of the sun as he walked them a little further across the lawn of sand. “it was ‘round here.” he nodded towards the tall patches of grass, having used the lair as a convenient smoking spot since his arrival. “… damn thing’s… can’t even sparkle in the sun.” he fumbled as he leant down to feel the hot grains.

thinking for a moment the girl pulled out her phone and turned on the torch. “ as stupid as this looks, maybe if i hold it a bit closer to the floor- the light will catch it?” she arched a brow, even to her- that sounded a bit dumb. but at this point it was the only idea they had that may actually help him find his watch. “ i mean worth a try.”

it wasn’t like there were a billion things to do on the island when one had free time. there was beach, secret caves that he would keep secret, pool, and more beach. while cliff wasn’t the biggest fan of open water, he’d at least head to the shore and entertain himself there. there was a girl not too far from where he stood, so he neared her and sat down on the sand. cliff asked if she’d like to help him bury himself, but she seemed too lost in her book to hear. cupping his hand, he started dragging the sand over his calves. the voice chimed and he looked over again, “yeah, i’m good. just wondering if you wanna help me bury myself?”

even though the girl was extremely interested in her book, she couldn’t help but wander what the boy was saying. “ give me one good reason why i should help you bury yourself?” she arched a brow, slowly closing over her book as a smirk tugged at the corners of her lips. “ i mean as fun as that sounds.” a forced eye roll occurred, she was completely down to bury him in the sand and probably leave him there; but he didn’t know that.
