For a while I've thought about attempting to make a Supermental webcomic, purely for my own self indulgence
There's just one problem, how it could End
Short Summery if you're not interested in reading my lengthy ramble:
I'm Confident in filling the missing gaps of Supermental's story, thanks to the little information we have from Khonjin House, the tidbits in each of Supermental's tracks on soundcloud, the Uavoulock ARG, and the Fake Leak in 2018, since it obtains info that still remain true (that being everything we see in KH and SM's promos).
My only concern is how to end it, since the Fake Leak's ending is likely false (minus the reveal of Shelby's Ghost/ Desire form), and the ARG implying that there are multiple endings.
Now for the Ramble
From what I've been able to gather in my own research, Supermental isn't reconned from Khonjin House (at least in the traditional sense), tidbits mentioned in each Supermental tracks on Soundcloud could be true (i.e. Gino being Pent's boss, Shell Beach having some sort of connection to Pent/ Shelby & Smack, Frost in the Shell having a riddle, etc...), and most importantly the Fake Leak in 2018 has truth to it, that being every thing we've seen so far, both in KH and in the Supermental Promos.
Despite the little information we have, Im confident that I'll be able to fill the gaps needed. At least for the Beginning and Middle.
The Ending is where Im stumped, and this is mainly due to two things: the Failed Uavoulock ARG, and the Ending revealed in the Fake 2018.
When the ARG failed, it was stated that the person who wrote the letters/ clues have died, and that we were to late. The password to the tumblr would've been "212051449147" or "BATENDING," probably implying that there a multiple endings, and I believe this ending would've been the "Bad Ending" where Shelby/Pent would've been murdered by Gino.
Not only that, but the events that happened after Smack and Pent return to their world from khonjin's in the Fake leak is likely all false (the "revelation" of Smack being Deja's creation sounds like absolute bull to me), with the only true thing being Shelby's Ghost/ Desire form.
As for Pent's whole speech on remember the events of KH differently (tying to the events of SM being removed from KH, among other things), and sealing his mind to prevent Smack from entering it again... other than it happening after the events of KH, I legitimately don't know how and where it would fit in the SM timeline.
Ofc, Im aware that I won't get things right and that there will be some inaccuracies. I'm ok with that. What Im concerned is whether or not my writing/ Interpretation will be good or understandable.
If I ever actually go through with making this webcomic, I want to be able to look back at it fondly and with a sense of pride. Not because it's perfect, but because its something worth being proud of.
