I remain open with no constraints

I throw myself in the pink ocean, soaking in love

My ears now plugged with water..

My brain pulses as your voice echoes, I float into nothing

I open my eyes to see your image in the distance, my body frozen by your beauty

I somehow lift both arms to reach for my neck as I begin to run out of air

My throat fills as I attempt to release my last breath (3)

I glance below to the dark abyss that awaits me

My eyes begin to roll to the back of my head

The pressure on my body increases dramatically, I’m losing my balance

This could be it though I embrace my fate entirely with no regrets

I open my mouth to utter my final words, and a feeling of euphoria hits me upon the act, fear of what awaits me in the next

“I love you”

My body feels lighter as the bubbles race to shore, I can breathe again..

Though I am still sinking, why?
