A day of sketching people in a café :) and trying to paint a little with gouache

Trying to get back into the habit of sketching people... it’s hard!! :’) It was quite obvious to me that I needed  to change my habits seeing that it took me a WHOLE YEAR to finish my last sketchbook, as opposed to when I was a student in animation, and would fill a sketchbook in a month or two... And flipping through this one sketchbook from this past year, it was quite rewarding, felt like my personal archives of life in Paris through the end of covid, seeing faces unmasked little by little, etc. Imagine yourself looking back at your drawings 10 years from now!! ^^ I feel like for most people, sketches are not the most interesting thing to see on their feed, but I always liked seeing sketches from other artists, to see what they observed, and how they “caught” a moment, a face on the page. I like seeing the scribbly drawings not quite successfully done, the “failed” attempts are just as rich as the more “pretty” ones. Anyway, sketching people and life stuff is fun :^]
