MRCP PACES (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills) is a structured clinical examination designed to assess a doctor’s ability to examine patients, communicate effectively, and demonstrate sound clinical judgement. It consists of 5 stations covering core medical specialties, where candidates are evaluated on physical examination, history taking, communication skills, and professionalism. PACES is a key milestone for physicians aiming to gain Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP UK) and progress in their medical careers.
