every time i see ballerinas i always think "oh how pretty" but then i watch documentaries and things, and wow, just-- how do you stand that kind of pain, i would die...

ballet is beautiful, isn’t it? you wouldn’t die though…well, there’s a microscopic chance you might, but i’m absolutely sure you would be able to handle the pain. after watching black swan and stuff, people think the world of ballet is brutal and at times, it can be but if they’re working hard to be there and they have a goal set for themselves to surpass, then i think the pain is the least of their concerns.

popping a few pieces of popcorn into her mouth and narrowing her eyes at the television screen as the movie progressed, it was safe to say that she was in slight disbelief at how sharp the plot twist had been. the movie trailer had seemed particularly cheery, to which the current events unfolding were of much contrast to. shaking her head, she grabbed some more popcorn. “ so he’s a mass murderer…what the fuck? this was supposed to be a romcom! ”

habitually, she tucks locks of her dark hair behind her ears. nodding in agreement, arienne takes a bite out of her burger and chews before replying. as she talks, she doesn’t make eye contact with the other. this was one of the topics she despised. “ it’s the same puppy love stories over and over. you hear about couples getting together and how happy the conditions were, but you never find out about those who were heartbroken by the same couple getting together. it’s so pathetic. and that shit hurts, too. ”

“ you’re right. ” slightly startled, arienne paused in the middle of tapping into the instagram app, turning off her phone and dropping it into her pocket instead. “ it’s filled with drama, isn’t it? there’s always something going on. ” in all honesty, she barely kept up to date with the social media trends and just what people were up to in general. it was there though, for when she was bored out of her mind or for when she needed a distraction to take her mind off of whatever was going on that day. “ but at the same time, it’s entertaining. watching people be stupid and post all their errors on the internet. ”

she wore a bewildered expression, brows furrowed and lips pressed into a thin line. she didn’t see what the other was talking about, the viridescent hues only making her narrow her eyes. “ i… wait. ” tilting her head, she finally slipped out of her confusion. “ oh! i see now. it looks like his hair is glowing. ” arienne grinned and shuffled closer, leaning in to catch a better look at the computer screen. “ shit, i was trying to figure this out for so long but with you, it took two seconds. i love you so much. ”

a little snicker leaves her lips, turning into a small burst of laughter. with her elbows propped up onto the table with her chin resting in her palm and her mind anything but stimulated by all the alcohol she’d consumed, the littlest things were amusing her. it wasn’t anything new, of course. arienne was always a giggling mess whenever she was intoxicated. when her laughter came to slowly cease, she shakes her head at the other. “ then i would’ve been the biggest wierdo you would’ve known. i had so many imaginary friends. ”
