« I crave that feeling you get just before you go to sleep, when everything gives in. The fight ends. The fight of our thinking lives. […] Rest awaits. The relentless ticking clock of your conscious awareness prepares to be smothered, your limbs prepare to go slack, the things that hurt will stop hurting, the whole frenetic circus of it all is about to collapse. There’s nothing for you to do, or work out. »

I’ve known this post longer than I’ve known most of my friends
It is pretty cool to work on older people bodies which have crystalized into whatever posture and compensation patterns that were most useful in their lives, and then to work on younger adults who have softer versions of those structures but they are on their way there. It's also interesting how people talk about their "bad back" "fucked up shoulders" and how they want to "get rid of knots" as if our body is happening to us. But those knots are helping you maintain a posture that is useful in your life. I bet there are body workers/chiro/PT people who have great ideas for furniture
