My life is a couple days from being completely turned around in a positive manner. I’ve never been so excited for life!
I have made the best purchase of my life
Farewell episode of Life is Strange has me shook. What a phenomenal episode.
Okay so here is the problem I have with Life Is Strange at the moment. Deck9 didnt ruin LiS for me. Its the fandom thats making me want to avoid LiS tags.
Hell Is Empty has it’s flaws. I am not blind. The pacing was a bit off and there are still some story threads without closure. But was the episode garbage? In my opinion, no. There were alot of good things that came out of it too. There are very cute moments between Chloe and Rachel sprinkled throughout and all of them felt right. I wish there was more but I did enjoy what we got.
I particularly like the scene between Chloe and William as she asked about lies. This episode was just as much about Rachel’s family as it was about Chloe coming to terms with her father’s death.
The final choice was so believable and the ramifications of either telling her everything or hiding the truth are so grounded in reality that I still cant decide which is better.
If you tell her everything, Rachel will never be able to love her father again. Her family life will fall apart. But her relationship with Chloe would be much stronger and they would trust each other 100%.
If you protect her from the truth, she continues to have a loving family. However, this could eventually drive a wedge between Chloe and Rachel. Chloe is a bad liar. And Rachel totally knew she was lieing. Its shown that Chloe is riddled with guilt and that is a lot of weight to carry.
Its not hard to imagine how either choice leads to the events of Rachel’s downfall. It is inevitable that she goes to Frank. Its inevitable that she gets involved with drugs. Its inevitable that she is killed.
I applaud Deck9 for taking on a complex choice like that and making sure it remains true to LiS1.
Despite what alot of the posts in the LIS tags say, not everyone hates the episode. Haters, speak for yourself, hate on it all you want, but dont think for a second that the hate is unanimous across the fandom.
So if you have made it this far in the post, I think the LiS tags need more positivity. Reply to this post or create a new one talking about the scenes and interactions you loved.
unpopular opinion: i actually liked before the storm and the last episode LOL
The fandom is fairly split on liking or disliking the episode. But I dont believe liking it is an unpopular opinion. Angry people tend to speak the loudest and it overshadows the positivity.
I see alot of posts from disgruntled Life Is Strange fans about being queerbaited by Episode 3 of Before the Storm and they are calling to “sue”/threaten Deck 9. Like, grow the fuck up. You know what you signed up for when you purchased the prequel. You know how things will inevitably end up. Sure, would I have liked a choice to break away from canon? Yes. But am I gonna send lawyer threats or attack deck 9 for not appeasing to my head canon? No. Ya’ll should be ashamed. Play the episode for yourself. Create your own opinions and dont just hate on something because someone told you to. In my opinion, I thought Deck9 did an awesome job with closing the gap between BFS and LIS1. Episode 3 was down to earth, and there are still questions I want answered, but I am satisfied overall.

All I gotta say is EA better not fuck with the next Dragon Age game.
For those who haven’t seen, Eurogamer did an amazing LP with the lead writer of Life is Strange: Before The Storm. He gives out alot of cool details and development backstory.
Also if you haven't seen Eurogamer’s main LP of episode 1 & 2, you should. Easily the best on youtube.
I don't think I will ever be able to play the original Life Is Strange again. After playing Before the Storm, I don't think I can handle finding Rachel's body or witnessing Chloe's pain. Deck Nine has done an amazing job with Rachel. And seeing how much Rachel means to Chloe and visa versa makes the level of heartbreak in the future so much more.
I don’t understand where the hate is coming from in regards to Zarya’s new 80’s skin. Its easily one of the THE best skins in the game.
People are entitled to their opinions I suppose. But like Jeff Kaplan said…haters, its okay to have the wrong opinion.

This eagle truly represents America. What a majestic symbol.
It’s only fitting that this gets reblogged today
I’ve gone into full Life Is Strange mode for Before the Storm. The hype is too strong. And while I’m heartbroken that Ashly Burch isn’t back for Chloe, Rhianna DeVries will do the role justice from what I’ve heard. tho if given the option, I would wait another year for the game if they brought Ashly back on board.
