romeo and juliet supporting each other i guess:) because i've drawn sad romeo yesterday and i felt bad for him so i needed him to be happy for a second.

romeo and juliet act 3 scene 3 i believe (because i was thinking about and i got annoyed at how no one let's romeo be sad for 10 minutes. ) and also i wanted to draw weird lighting and it turned out weird. who would have guessed.

i was going to draw like mercutio dying or something but then i didnt and it's just mercutio being dramatic i guess (maybe the queen mab scene would fit here, but since that scene doesnt exist in resj so idk)

resj le duel thought i guess:)

i had a thought about hungarian le duel choreography. (i dont know anything about choreography or dancing but still) so you know how at the beginning mercutio is dancing all over the stage, and annoying tybalt, and tybalt just kind of stands there and walks normally. and then romeo appears and he also doesnt dance, but everyone else does (benvolio too im pretty sure at least untill him and romeo have their duet verse).

i does very much feel like romeo and tybalt are the only ones who are taking the situation seriously. ben stops dancing in pretty much the middle of the song, (it is hard to tell tho cause we dont see him that much) and merc stops dancing when tybalt almost stabbs romeo and he like pushes him away and he has this like "HE HAS ALWAYS HATED ME" verse. and it would make sense for him to in that moment be realise how serious the situation is. and of course he doesnt stop the fight or anything he's just more aware of whats going on.

i know probably a lot of people had noticed this before me and all that but i thought about it now so here it is.

Idk mercutio if he saw romeo in the afterlife or something I thought it was funny then I spent over an hour coloring the background and it's not even that good but well (: I also did not have an ereaser so yeah

Also is juliet's birthday 31 July or 1 August, cause in my translation it say its 1 August but I've seen people say it's today also so idk (not that it matters I'm just wondering I also wanted to draw her haha)

so it is tybalt writing the letter to romeo when he's like "hey i will fight you btw"

i watched the juliet & romeo movie. it was so bad. i'm actually impressed with how bad it was. so here's a numbered list of annoyences haha 1. firstly, im sorry but like why are you making mercutio romeo's brother? FOR WHAT. also it doesn't make sense because THE WHOLE REASON THE PRINCE DOESNT KILL ROMEO IS BECAUSE MERCUTIO IS HIS COUSIN. so that's stupid. 2. The music was bad. like i can't remember any song (except for the one when the chemist is talking about the poison to the friar because it was kinda funny actually) but the rest of the songs where just kind of radio pop and... no. 3. the acting was not great. which is weird bc this actress who played juliet played her in still star crossed, and like she was good? 4. the said it was in 1301, wasn't r&j suppoused the take place in like 1490s/1500s? but frankly, im not sure about that. 5. everytime rome got mentioned i got confused. 6. the masqarade was like halfway through and for what. 7. it was just kinda boring, honestly. 8. the costumes were fine, i guess, but the make-up looked so modern. 9. The dialague was i guess meant to be "natural" but it just sounded bad, like i get that people talk like that but dont put it in a movie that's meant to be in the past? or in any movie, honestly? 10. romeo and juliet met earlier and im 100% sure they did that so they could be like "OHH BUT WHERE SO REALISTIC SEE CAUSE NO ONE FALL IN LOVE IN 5 DAYS THEY WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH 7 AND HAVE NO CHEMISTRY THAT'S SO MUCH BETTER" 11. also. this movie was so blue. like every scene was blue. why. 12. WHY DID THEY SURIVE. IM SO ANNOYED. and here's the thing. they do this whole like backstory for mercutio and how he was adopted by montagues and the lord montague is kinda manipulating him by being like "hey how about you just make mess at the ball". and the whole time i was like "the idea is there, but it should've been tybalt". imagine just tybalt trying to prove himself to the capulets, being overprotective at the masqarade, fighting people and all that. and then obviously bc he's the worst lord capulet is manipulating that and using that and so on. i don't know.

i think this is like the third time i've drawn tybalt with blood and/or like lines that marionets use, so there's that.

but i started thinking. you know how mercutio realizes that he died without purpose and is angry and all that? so what if it was the opposite for tybalt. what if, he saw his own death as a sacrefice to his family, being 'useful' somehow, feeling like this is what he's for, that he needs to die to have worth. what if he sees death as an escape from the role his in. or maybe it's both of those at the same time. just kind of idealizing his death as this heroic fate. because frankly, if you listen to c'est past ma faute, it sometimes has the vibe of "yes my life is awful but it's good that it's awful". i don't know if that makes sense.

idk, i was thinking about the austrian version, rewatched it kinda, it's so dramatic love it, also the costumes make me laugh, also the pasive agressive dancing in habt ihr schon gehort, like yes it was for five secounds but also romercutio and also annoyed people. im sorry idk what im saying, i wanted to draw something silly bc it's fun i guess
