After dying (more or less) Kol finds himself in a liminal state from which he longs to escape. But to transcend to the Underworld, he needs to recover something very important that belongs to him. To do so, he will be aided by two dearest ones… One will journey across the surface, under the sun, in search of the missing piece. The other will follow him down through the dark galleries of the soul, to bring Kol’s entire story to light… piece by piece.

Thracian magic, ancient rituals, secrets, promises, Hecate, the Great Goddess and her Son-Sun, gods and goddesses, poison, fire, flowers, snakes, wolves, cats, rebellions, battles, long voyages across the seas, Kings and Queens, betrayal, blood, ecstasy, violence, life, sex, death and, above all: Love.

All of this comprises Kol's story, told in his own voice.

✨My version of the “Abduction of Helen”, which is my contribution to @singomusezine, last volume coming out in July, as you know, full of great fellow artists drawing Greek Mythology awesomeness.

I chose this episode from The Iliad, Book III as the theme of the zine this year is about The Trojan War and all related.

I was going to write about the meaning of the illustration and what I’ve expressed here, based on that episode, but I prefer to leave it to your understanding and imagination. And I’m sure you can also spot the little symbols I’ve included. I hope you like it ❤️

As I mentioned yesterday, there’s less than a week to go before you can start reading “Kol, My Name” on ComicFury 🤯🤩 Here’s a preview page (of the short intro). We see two key characters: Sei and the old King Phasis. They are part of the structural “wrapping” of the main story (a flashback to Kol’s life, in his own words). The story begins in the Caucasus, King Phasis’s homeland ⛰️🌲✨ You’ll see their connection to Kol and the immense importance of their roles in this story and in the life of our beloved protagonist. Gael and Kol showing how much they love each other 🥰. Updated sketch - I drew it a while ago and posted to IG, but their designs have changed a bit since then. In the second image, it’s a pretty quick and raw sketch, basically because someone, in the past, when I posted the former drawing of the kiss, thought Gael was SUPER TALL 🙃 and actually, he’s just standing up (maybe on something or holding onto Kol). So anyway, I’m leaving that sketch here so you can see the real height difference, and as you can perceive, Gael isn’t exactly the tallest.

Younger Kol ❤️

I’ve had this sketch lying around for ages, and it was about time I brought it to life. Three versions because I couldn’t decide which one I wanted to publish most: the usual colors / in bright red / just line art. I don’t know which one you like best.
