i think seiun sky is constantly trying to prove to everyone that she's enough. that just because she goes about things differently, doesn't mean that she'll never win or be enough for people. but she does it in a more self-centered (/neutral) way where she focuses on making accomplishments for herself and then everyone'll understand that she's not being useless. like she has to have SOME reason for wanting to win so bad. but i think this ultimately comes from a place of low self esteem

but Also people thinking she's useless aids her in that they underestimate her severely and she can blow them out of the water in races. it's one of her most vital skills by her own admission. and i feel like she's also uncomfortable being put into a position of authority or power (see the second screenshot below) or maybe im just reading into it too much who knows

so she has to play into her perceived weakness in order to claim victory and prove her worth, but in doing so she'll be seen as more of a threat and have all the spotlight on her, uncomfortably so. its kind of a two wolves situation except she doesnt want to acknowledge the fact she doesn't feel like she's enough and just represses it and lies to herself about it
